The simplest method of testing all these spells is heading out to Sea, get some Hpemde's to follow you, then:

• - Blind(ga)
  - Slow(ga)
  - Bind(ga)
  - Aspir(ga)
  - Paralyze(ga)
  - Dispel(ga)
  - Any other type of spell that's non-aggressive(ga)

See which work, which don't... Badda-bing, Badda-boom.

Oh, and just out of curiosity... Any Sch75 tried /Drk and Stun(ga)?????? Just for shitz and gigglez. And don't jump the gun and bash me because "Stun is a Dark-magic type spell" therefore will 100% won't work... People here saying that Aspir is a Dark-based spell and shouldn't work, but clearly, does.

Pretty sure the Dark Arts AoE thing is any "Enfeebling or Dark Magic" spell, but it's limited to black magic enfeebles since it's under Dark Arts.

If Aspirga and Drainga work, it's not a bad thing to try Stunga.

There are certainly interesting applications for such a thing if it does.

That Golem that splits in Einherjar, doesn't he use his moves in synch?

There are a variety of mobs that will fire off synchronized nukes, synchronized WSes, situations where you have a few mobs active and they're WSing.

It isn't a huge amount of them, but there are some cases where having a few synched stuns could come in handy, though you could just as well have two stunners too, I get the feeling that Sch was aimed at low-manning things, by packing a bunch of options into one job.

Wouldn't work since things that WS in synch are split up due to the fact they're dangerous to be tanking both at once on the same person.

And especially if you are camping stun, I don't see how a slow stun would be beneficial at all in any situation unless you are surrounded by 15 mobs that are going to -ga3 you (even then, a BLU can temporal shift more than once per 4 mins, as well as not have to sacrifice the SCH's most important slot so far, the Subjob).

Remember that manifestation slows down cast time and recast timer.

Just stick with Temporal Shift ffs. A cocooned BLU can survive a lot better than SCH.

while stunga may be fun to play with, as the posters above have indicated, there are a great many blu spells that are strictly better, with lower (i think) MP cost and a lower (again, i think) cast/recast timer. i just can't see when you'd ever use it especially since it would debilitate a sch so much to lose the sub. now dispellga as a means for getting hate on a large group, then using sandstorm+desert boots or gaiters could be interesting.

But can you Scholar/WHM, Divine Seal, and then AoE a Cure IV or the like to heal NPC groups up in Besieged/Campaign?

Didn't say it was the best use, but it's a situation that it could be used in.

Dispelga would be a much more useful effect though.

yes, I agree that BLU has spells to do this easier than a SCH with manifestation > stun. However theres something you guys fail to remember.

Yes, Sch/Whm can Divine Seal + Accession a CureIV on NPC groups and heal all them within range.
