I'm not sure if anyone has posted on this.
You can cure-pro-shell accession any party formed not in your own alliance.
I was having fun at Cerberus and accidentally found out i can pull hate when not in the ally with DS Cure IV O_o

Worked on Campaign mob parties, thanks for the confirmation on normal parties (didn't try it yet).
And yeah, Curaga V == hit the floor. >.>;
Now the interesting question.Originally Posted by Valkrish

I went 1/1 on KS99 for Behemoth's Tongue for my Mnk8.
Fag LS won't let me get the other 2 items for quest completage... (not that I actively camp Aspid or Fafnir lawlz)
Can't figure out my password for my normal account while I'm at work, but anyway -

Think my equip was...
Main: Water Staff + Bugard HQ Grip
Head/Body: Shaman
Neck: Mohbwa (sp) Scarf +1
Cape: Red Cape +1
Hands: Mycophile
Waist: Pent's Rope
Ear1: Moldative
Ear2: Heim's (had it from my Blu)
Ring1: Balurhans (sp) Ring
Ring2: Tamas Ring
Legs: Custom Hume Legs
Feet: Custom Hume Feet
Range: Morion
No merits in Elemental Magic, but capped from my BLM.

Either merit that Elemental Magic, or stop nuking. =/
Was the only idea I could think of. However, my Water III was going unresisted fairly often. About 2k from 64, I'll try then with the Druid Slops and see how it goes prolly in the morning.Originally Posted by Genosync

I don't think I've found a single post in this whole thread that involves me talking about Quickstep... much less this entire forum.Originally Posted by Aemora
But whatever.
Scholar's also an interesting option for PLing a PT, but only for the fact of being able to Curaga while outside the PT. Meh. Not really amazing but a use nonetheless.
If you play SCH as a main healer, you won't feel yourself gimped honestly. I feel overpowered as a healer![]()
It's more of the nuking side that, while potent, does feel a bit gimped after 60. My Thunder IIIs do hit for around 600 though with only average gear (at 75, I probably could get that to 800).
This is how I'm feeling currently, until I remember Accession->Cure3 isn't the smartest thing to do at *all* after a mob AoEs.Originally Posted by Toth

I'd rather have a rdm and more refresh jobs than a scholar in a tank party.
Use Curaga (or even if reallllly careful Curaga II) if you sub /whm. It's less hate.Originally Posted by Kaisha
You sure about that? ('cause I don't recall curaga giving you less enmity per hp cured than cure does)Originally Posted by Toth
Or are you just going off a feeling?
Benefit of Curaga rather than Acc-Cure: Doesn't use strategem, faster
Having read the entire thread, it seems Scholar as a healer is fine for most of it's leveling career. As a subjob, it works well for WHM, and situationally, for RDM, SMN, BLM. Nuking seems decent, but lacks a certian "oomph". In as few words as possible, the issues would be:
Spell list -
Not quite enough spells. Needs a few more to really be viable. Some possible suggestions: burn/choke/etc. line, haste, stoneskin/blink, refresh, regain?
Helix -
Not quite enough damage for merit/xp parties. Increasing damage or lowering tick rate as possible solutions?
Strategem -
Too limited, as each JA takes from the same charge pool? Perhaps a way to allow use of them more often, but without being overpowered?
didn't I post all this about 20 posts ago?Originally Posted by Kenji
