Has anyone tested nukeing as SCH at all... they seem like they would hold up decently well as nukers and they may be able to screw off merit pt's to leech in a manaburn... I mean if my BLU can make it in a manaburn I can't see how a SCH couldn't at this point...

I've been nuking since lvl 10. Basically, we are slightly more powerful than RDMs nuking wise. As the levels increase, I think we can keep up to BLMs but a lack of innate MAB traits will keep BLMs farther ahead.

I've been nuking a lot as well, problem with SCH nuking is you can *really* notice if you're underleveled. I'm 18 SCH/RDM at land worms in qufim, and I'm routinely getting 1/4 resists even with elemental merits.

I'm sorry but this is wrong. The level forty Strategems (Accession and Manifestation) make spells into "ga" types.

The level 55 JA increase potency.

My SCH is level 44, I can show you if you like..
    OOPS.

So who's the highest level Scholar around atm? Any 75s yet?
I don't know, but I think this is what was getting people screwed up:

In the update info, they put the Scholar JAs in the correct level order:
    Black Grimoire
    Parsimony (Level 10)
    Alacrity (Level 25)
    Manifestation (Level 40)
    Ebullience (Level 55)
However, in the description part, they switched two of them, seen like this:
    Black Grimoire
    Parsimony
Reduces the MP cost of your next black magic spell by 50%.
    Alacrity
Reduces the casting time of your next black magic spell by 50%.
    Ebullience
Enhances the potency of your next black magic spell.
    Manifestation
Extends the effect of your next enfeebling black magic spell to targets within range. MP cost is tripled and casting time is doubled.
So I've had them fucked up in my head too for a bit. Thanks for clearing it up.

Posted this so that everyone else thinking this way gets it cleared up too.

Ninja Edit: Kuno, or someone, fix the Deodorize level. It's 15 (probably, not 15 yet), not 10. 'cause I'm 13 and I don't have it in the list yet.

Are many others seeing the glitch of this job yet? Refering to being able to use Parsimon or Penury 2-4 times in a row, then looking at the recast ive seen it 8-11:00mins..but then it doesnt actually take that long to be active again

It's been posted, but yeah, you can go to -2 charges as of now if you use macros.

Trust me, WHMs rarely cast Curaga II and I've personally never used Curaga III in exp or at HNMs. Its not really a big deal. Being able to cast Regen II on everyone is much more interesting.

Quick question: If a scholar can use Enspell-ga, will the melees benefitting from the status actually do good damage or is their total damage based on their enhancing skill, not the scholars?

Pehaps its my skeptical nature, but im guessing it would function like Ramuh's and the enspell damage would be based off the attackers enhancing.

i use curaga 2 alot,,, much more efficient after getting hit by an aoe, or just to top off all the pt memebers hp
in merit parties and in HNM

not sure the type of whms you've encountered

also like to add: i tested desert boots in altepa on my whm, and did get the +12% speed with only 1 weather active (i think people were unsure if it activates in single or double weather)

    so gogo ghetto gaiters?!

I tried this today in Garlaige Citadel, but soon had to stop because it was overwriting the DNC's Sambas. However, against Beetles, Enaero was doing mostly 1 damage, although I saw 2-3 hits for 10 damage. There were 2 BLU, a DRK, and a DNC meleeing. Against bats every single hit did an additional 5 damage. I'm not sure if it's possible to draw any conclusions from this but a friend and I are going to do some tests tomorrow to try to narrow it down.

    ----

Also, I just want to mention that Manifestion >> Aspir is *awesome*. We had an extra crab slept at our party, Manifestation > Aspir'd, got 73 from one and 50 something from the other. Not super practical but pretty fun. ^^

Stupid question but could phalanx from sch main with best gear aviable to it currently outdo phalanx II from rdms or if not how much damage reduction could you get on it? reason im asking is this could mean that /rdm would be more valid to sch to use a sub to enchance party's though enfeebling and dispell.

no. B+ skill vs. B, and RDM can get about 30 levels of enhancing off AF and AF2 alone. Wipes off the 3 point difference between Phalanx 1 and 2 at same enhancing level.

And for god's sake, stop asking about 75 SCH/??? vs different job setups. We don't even have anyone CLOSE to 75 on the job yet, let alone know how it functions end-game. Hell, I'd be happy to know about the helixes at this point.

No idea why the NPC would get resisted on this when she was able to land Firaga IIIs without a resist, but ok.

Regardless, the dot was about 1% of this mob's HP a tick.
