installing on the PS3

To help for those that had the same problem i did or similar problems.....

FFXI will only run on the hardware emulation systems the newer PS3's that use software do not work

you must update to the lastest version on your PS3 2.01

you can only install it inside POL by running POL first then insert the game disk and press the install option on the left side of the screen.

According to the backwards compatibility thing on Sony's website, FFXI crashes on install on all of the software-emulation PS3s right now, the original hardware emulation one (60GB?) is the only one it works on.

i have one of the PS3s from launch its not the new software one.all expansions are installed and working except wings of the goddess

don't put the disk in till you get to POL screen.

foudn the problem PS3 must be upgraded to v2.01 >.>
