Reg Key Code question

Ok so i DL the torrent of WOTG. Went and bought a PS2 Reg key for it and found out that since my Charachter is a EU account i cant use the NA Reg key code for it. Does anyone know how i can get a EU Reg Key code?
Another thing, now that my Reg Code is usless to me can i offer to trade it for Gil or is that an bannable offence? I really dunno what to do with it now. I opened the box and cant return it cant even use it either. Anyoen got any ideas please help. I dont want my 30$ to go to complete waste

I've driven through 3 states trying to find a copy of the expansion. About ready to /wrists myself.

Edit: I don't know if I can get in trouble for this or not but I figure its okay since the OP did legitimately buy a copy of the game:

If you can get ahold of an expired EU Reg Code I can reverse engineer a working code for you. I've done this for EQ and WoW before; its just a matter of trial and error. Can do the same for NA codes but nobody is willing to share their consumed reg keys. *shrug*

Well if the EU version can be reg-edited to take an NA key, I don't see why the reverse can't be the same. From what I heard, the key is universal, between all regions and platforms.

no the game is universal between US and EU, the key is Regional only. Confirmed this when i talked to SE on the phone to ask why it wasnt working.
