Easilt straighted tank with a PLD/NIN. Can do this mob with 6 if the right setup, PLD/NIN, BRD, BRD, RDM, SMN, SMN or WHM would just take a while.

The only problem is that his AOEs are annoying. They include a AOE Silence with damage, a single target absorb where you need to dispel a lot especially if the PLD has haste/pro/shell/etc., and then a attack that removes all equipment. It is fairly annoying fight but can be done with low numbers. I just don't understand why they would put this as just a quest NM though, it is pretty hard I guess for the average player. Maybe you just have to possibly steal an item from it? Has anyone confirmed how to finish the quest that starts in Crawler's Nest?

It's not to do with the Crawlers Nest quest, unless there's more than one CS for it. That's a map quest for the Fort, you just have to talk to an NPC in Rolanberry.

There are Sandworm items in the dats (just a few crafting-esque items, Sandworm Fang and stuff) although no equipment that would appear to be synthed from it.

Have there been any sightings of it in the zones next to the home nations yet? Sandworm is shown in the dats there as well.

I love how the Dune references are more interesting to me than the actual subject of this thread.

Pretty irrelevant but, I've read a series of fantasy novels that contained Simurgh character, the characters always referred to her as "the Simurgh"(even though there was only one).

    Re: Sandworm

They really should of put the Sandworm in Altepa and had it attack anyone who walked on the sand without sneak on. Of course you could then go buy a drum to summon it and ride it....

Hmm so sandworms, then beastmen(kinda like machines) take over most of the planet and we use spice to let us teleport airships around to finally win the war.

So that's what happened in Vana'diels past.

I would make it aggro autorun and/or a set amount of constant movement. Sneak would work too I suppose, but it would be cool to have there actually be a way to walk without rythm as well.

Maybe we'll find some mob that drops hooks to ride the Sandworm...

Believe it or not, it would be an easy solo.

Load on DoTs and kite it. It's not particularly fast. Pretty sure evevn +movement speed wouldn't be required.

Depending on Zone, you can probably find some horrible pathing spots.

I'll be sorely dissapointed if the Muadib and Stilgar on my server haven't killed this for the title.

Tom Tit Tat is also referred to as "the Tom Tit Tat" in the log, I think. It's been awhile since I killed it.
