While they were no "Dune", I thought the BH/FA books were enjoyable. I particularly liked the The Butlerian Jihad series, because they were basically creating an original story in a familar universe, which gave them more room to work with.

The "Prelude to Dune" series had a lot less focus, and their impact to the overall story was fairly minimal. They were also the least preachy/most action oriented and weren't really very good, imo.

I enjoyed the "7th book", Hunters and Sandworms of Dune, but their story felt fairly rushed, and the climax was a bit unsatisfying for me after all that buildup. There was too much reliance on magically snapping your fingers to solve a problem.

But yeah, if you want to enjoy one of the greatest sci-fi stories ever told, pick up the original 6 books and enjoy.

I wasn't exactly impressed with the Duncan Idaho Deus Ex Machina at the end of Sandworms myself either, though the re-emergence of the thinking machines was a nice twist I thought.

We killed him in Sauromugue Champaign [S], fairly close to the Meri Mountains zone. Did it with 12 people very easily.

Combat would get fairly boring.

"Your target anticipates your move, you miss your target. You anticipate your targets move, you evade the attack" over and over and over.

Made by the same company that made the original Command & Conquer. Dune III (II remake) was released before C&C 1, so expect blockyness.

I actually played Dune II, mostly because I loved the Frank Herbert Novels.

Even though it looks pretty sad now, I remember it being revolutionary for the time. The whole concept of having to harvest resources and building and capturing infrastructure was pretty neat.

Haven't gotten to look in the dats because I never picked up expansion yet...
Would be kinda cool if there were an HQ spawn, but can't look at mob titles in the zone because I don't have expansion.

That really wouldn't surprise me at all if it was possibly some kind of compensation for the lack of other content?

I could see them eventually making it into a real HNM perhaps with the possibility of spawning in any of the zones that it has been sighted in thus far, but perhaps only one at a time or maybe they will even tie it into future missions.

NQ kings still give titles as well, highly doubt there would be an HQ spawn since SE kinda got away from those mechanics with CoP and ToAU HNMs.
Would be kinda cool to have a HNM similar to a Zilart king work like that with multiple zone spawn possibilities, claim chances would be alot more fair that way and you wouldn't have to cram into a zone like aery to camp it.

I think claiming conditions are a moot point until it becomes worth claiming. -_-
There are really no items in the dats that the two sandworm items would make. I think SE may have mistakenly activated Sandworms prematurely, like the warder mobs and the new years/christmas stuff.

My guess would be Mhaura/Selbina/Rabao like most other NM titles.
