POL Error?

when i was trying to register yesterday, i got the POL error message come up three times, but then, as i was giving up, i went into the Content ID/Expansion status thingy and it said it was registered o.O

Phoned the helpline to see what the hell is going on... This is what they said...

'There is no server maintenance on Registration servers despite what it says on the Playonline site. It is just busy and some people are eventually getting through. I would recommend you don't even try to register for the next day or 2 as it won't be any better. It is best to wait until everyone else has registered and then it won't be as busy. Your only other option is to continually hit retry and hope you will eventually get registered.'

that's interesting cuz when I called he said the exact opposite, that they are most def down for maint & have been since yesterday & they have no clue as to how long they will be down (I called 3 times over a 12 hour period & talked to 3 dif people)

Not one single person has confirmed registration since like 7amEST yesterday..... so I'm guessing the dude you talked to had no clue what's going on

The fact that you can potentially get through shoots down it being maintenance. You have no choice but to wait for the expansion to die down or spam Retry until you get through. Why SE still have such crappy servers when this happens at every large update and expansion is beyond me though.

Well, after getting Beowulf, Reis, Cloud and his materia blade done... I got as far as the box to put my expansion code in... then POL error.

At this rate I'm going to have the game completed before I get to play the new expansion.

Ugh, halfway through changing my credit card info and I got a completely different error, sending me back to the main membership page. There goes the past few hours of spamming reply.

I'm in the UK and a friend of mine who lives in Germany have also had the same problem registering, however she managed to eventually register after 30 clicks of the retry button, I on the other hand am still waiting. ;_;

I'm up to 3 hours or so of hard-clicking of retry so far. Got as far as entering my code and hitting submit but no idea if it's gone through after that.

Mine's just gone through finally - had about 30 retrys after hitting submit on the code screen before it said expanded services were registered OK.

took a ton of retries to get past each screen, then had to fuckin go back to correct the registration code >< but finally got through. so yea, the pol website is full of shit.

well i was playing on my xbox360 mostly but was turning around and spamming retry every few mins after i heard people on here were getting through, i gave it a shot and it worked.

Almost 2 hours now... ;_; I'm wondering if it's worth calling POL and see if they can register over the phone... <_<

Hey, I can't even log in right now, because POL changed there requirements for Passwords on this expansion. If it's under 8 letters, and contains even a single letter(or #) the same as your account name YOU have to change your password. Won't even let me log into my friends list, let alone the game. At least you guys CAN play. I've been trying to log on for 2 days. >_< forget setting up the expansion, I just want to see my little Yoshimiko.
