POL Error?

oK wtf it suddenly worked. Try changing your IP addresses repeatedly.

edit: it did take a few retries, but it worked with 5-6 total.

I was finally able to register; I took the advice of others and reset my modem (DSL).

I also plugged the cable straight into my main PC, instead of the router.

I was just able to register two accounts; the first one failed once but took on the second attempt.
The second account went on one try.

I wish I had the luxury you people had, of easly changable IPs and being able to circumvent my router. Sadly, my router is the only way for me to get internet, and to change my IP is a hassle and a half.

I just want to play...

My major beef is that there seems to be no protection to the consumer for problems like this. We paid the money for the expansion and 99.9% of stores have a policy of no refunds for opened software, only exchanges. Now there is no real problem with the software but there is a major problem with the service. I have been trying for 3 days now to register. I've contacted PlayOnline support just to get brushed off. There is no accountability here. I feel liked I have been robbed and no one cares to do anything about it. I could call and have my account canceled and get a big whoopty do from SE and they will do nothing about it. Hell I CAN'T cancel my account right now cause the servers are all fubar, gotta love the irony in that. Well, back to clicking retry, cause we all know that's more fun than playing a game we pay monthly for plus the 3000 Yen I spent on the expansion.

After a fair amount of cursing to unhook and figure out what cable went to what computer this FINALLY worked. Got Error'd like 1-2 times on each page but it finally went through. Now that I have little to no cartiledge left in my right index finger I'm going to bed...... I h8u SE I simply and utterly h8u

After 2 hours of trying various random things, I decided to try without windower active. It went through very quickly and on the first try after I started PlayOnline without windower, but it's probably just a coincidence. Finally I'm registered though... :/

Don't think it has anything to do with windower or not. I tried both, but just in case, changing IP + windower/notwindower should be the best way to try atm.

After work I tried again and of course it didn't work. My friend who just got it today registered and got in on 3rd try...

I asked him if I could log in as him to see if my expansion is working, so I went to flag Dancer quest as him and it worked. Which made me think...maybe POL doesn't like console users? My friend is using a PC and I'm using the PS2. I've been trying since Wednesday...but for PC users they seem to get to the registration page sooner than me (PS2 user...) can get POL to give me an error msg...

If you're a console user...try to ask a CLOSE friend that you trust to register the game for you on their PC...maybe that will work and tell them to keep trying if it doesn't work the first time after registration code is entered...

I am on PC and I couldn't even get a chance to enter my code for around 24 hours. I know alot of PC users having the same problem too.

Hopefully they wont extend it any longer then that. My copy finally arrived, would of been nice to be able to play it today.

Edit: Well, pages are half loading for me now, still can't get in but maint must be over or they were just talking out their ass to try and lower congestion. Either way at least I have a background to look at now!

I had that screen then I restarted my network to see if I could get passed that brown/white screen but alas no luck

ur in the same boat as most of us, thats the farthest Ive ever got before and after the "maint". havent got the redscreen since maint, seems like thats the only thing they fixed...

edit: holyshit I actualy got to type in my POL pw, only took me 2 days to get there, gogo completion by next Fri?
