    About war subs.

I've been leveling war (37 at current) and I'm subbing thf and using Great Axes, and the question is when I hit 50, should I switch to sub ninja and dual wield axes or should I stick with great axes and maybe sub sam at 50 instead, or what? Any help from those that are more knowledgeable about the changes to two handers in the last few patches would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, at around 50ish, you should keep great axe and axe both skilled up in case your party needs a specific weapon for a skillchain or something. Also, subbing Ninja might help to negate some of the damage you receive when you pull hate or whatnot.

Before the update I'd say switch to /nin as soon as you get Dual Wield II. Now with the 2h updates and all, I have no idea. If using 2h, I'd go /sam over /thf for sure though.

Viking axes are really nice at that level though. Maybe use axes til you can use raging rush?

I think using sneak attack sturmwind for now will be good, I hit a worker crawler yesterday for 460, so I'm pretty happy with how thats going, but at 50 I could have store tp and hasso and third eye and all that, and that might be worth it, but dualing axes with sub nin also has it's benifits. I just don't know...

Honestly I don't see much reason to use 1h weapons if you have the option to use 2h. Go /sam and eat meat, you have the increased acc from 2h and /sam offers Hasso 50+ and Zanshin is nice for eating meat. Only argument I can see to use 1h axes would be having rampage and no raging rush, but great axe will still naturally have more accuracy than you would with 2x viking and have more attack as well, sturmwind can probably keep up with rampage at that level too, at least not be too far behind.

When considering Hasso for two-handers, you should keep in mind the innate Dual Wield trait for dual wielders that has it's own attack speed reduction.

I would tell a pre 55 war, G axe or gtfo.

Before the update, it was debatable if you were pimped out. Now by simply equipping a G axe, your att and acc far eclipse the dual wielder. Either you never used G axe till you had to skill up or you forgot, but until rampage, axe ws's blow hard, and sturmwind is that good.

If the war only had /nin, I would tell them to simple equip their G axe. Depending on your tank and the amount of healing you have, will determine if you get to /sam or /nin. After 50 (for a while at least) forget /thf, /drg, and /mnk.

I'd say keep with what you're doing until 50, then switch between /NIN and /SAM. You're going to want to keep your Axe capped for the upper levels (I've been having much, much better luck with Axe/Joy since the 2H adjustment) but 2H is very likely better than Axe/Axe. Use /NIN when you need to skill up axe or you're unsure if your tank can hold hate, and use /SAM otherwise. Once you get Seigan I'd stay on /SAM as much as possible unless you have a Joyeuse or need to skill up axe.

Yeah, but Hasso doesn't effect tp gain and DW does.
