Wonder if it'd be possible to solo tougher mobs near them, could possibly be SE's way of answering the whole "We want more solo content!" If you do manage to kill them (they're a complete bitch to do so with cure spam) and build enough hate, they will aggro and won't cure/raise.

I was fighting around one and it only flew by me 4 or 5 times in over an hour...so it seems they have a pretty big flight path. I think it's more SE's way of getting people to stop begging WHMs in their LS to come raise them.

You have to make sure you're in at least yellow hp (think of it as reverse HP aggro... instead of them hurting you, they heal you) for it to heal you.

They're totally awesome, but too bad they don't "see" anyone who are in Campaign mode that isn't dead. Still amazingly cool though. =D

One cured me while I was fighting stuff with campaign.

Were you signed up (have the sword next to your name)? We were doing Ronfaure and one floated right through the fight and only raised the dead person before moving on.

Was running around Vunkerl Inlet and a friend wanted to kill it so we started fighting. HIGHLY resistant to magic, Cure5's itself repeatedly, along with all sorts of regen, haste etc. Has healing TP moves, AOE sleep, AOE bind, AOE stun, AOE knockback, AOE dispel, and erases itself! It also doesn't take much melee damage, and I'm glad after our 15 minute fight vs. an EP one with 2 blms and a whm, it didn't reraise.

Yes. There's a significant delay between their actions, so they tend to float on before doing another spell.

most mobs (i think all, but i won't state that as fact as i'm sure someone will come up with an exception somewhere. dl for example may cast several spells in a short window i think, but that could be chainspell too.) have a spell timer. they have to wait for this cooldown between casting spells. you can observe this easily when pulling a mage mob. since their timer is generally up when being pulled (unless they've just buffed themselves lately) they will try to cast something, but will readily move if they've just buffed themselves. i'd guess as was observed above, pixies too have a cooldown and won't stop to cast until the cooldown is up.

I was messing around with them. After about 5 actions on me, they didn't seem to act at all, lol. Ran to one at Red HP and it just ignored me :/

They were incredibly easy n BLU, lol. I killed like 2 and just fooled with it, even let it cure itself just to see TP moves. Took like no time at all to rip them apart though if I wanted. Took fine damage from BLU spells. Felt kinda bad killing them and stopped though~

Had a bunch save my ass while fighting mobs during campaign since then, had 2 orcs on me and ne Cure V me a couple times. Once as it pass and I guess it turn around and pass me again.

I think the worst part is BLUs will eventually have to kill large numbers of pixies for the spell they seem to give, thereby becoming social outcasts on a monumental scale (I felt shitty just killing Apkallu. :[)
