Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

2 People in my ls were having a wedding (lol) and some guy was running around spamming emotes, getting in the way etc, and demanding we pay him money to leave. I sent the GM who was officiating a /tell to the effect of "can you please do something about this dickhead" and about 5 seconds later he was in jail.

That was satisfying. Other than that, not really.

Pre-bstnerf had some lvl 30 somethin trainin stuff on our pty after i kicked his nub ass out of the pty. GM binded them on their next mnk attempt, laughed as they watched the person die and then 72hr ban, it was rather amusing.

Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

    "Stromgarde":
Just the other day NSG on Siren was kiting KV for hours to keep it in JP time and the GM wouldn't do shit about it. It took another LS offering to kill it and hand over the drops just to get the damn thing's window closed.
nah, the offer was made to just speed up the killing process. NSG had the numbers to fight it on the way. I offered our LS's hands to assist them just so we all could goto bed.

KV is a crappy NM that really shows you the difference of good and bad GMs, the NM is so random to pop it's not fair to expect people to camp it in force to kill it at all times, so holding it for a period for people to gather is virtually nessecary. On several occasions our LS has been forced to give up KV at a GM's wish: often when only a single person not in our LS is present (and in one cause: no one present)

GMs are very unhelpful in most of my dealings with them: they often harsh our tanks when we're accused of holding. Even when they are politely asked to speak to other(more in charge) members.

GM calls I personaly make are limited to obvious flee-hackers or stun botters.

That's the biggest thing that makes me upset with GMs: how they'll talk to a member of an ally as designated by an outside party's choice, rather then speak to an accual representative/leader of the LS being questioned. I hate using my tanks as the middle man just because a GM won't address me or our leadership directly.

It's NSG (and other JP LS like them) which is the whole reason they added rage timers to Fafhogg/KB/adaman, NSG used to hold all of them all the time and keep them in JP time every night, you'd think they'd be maxxed on abj and Ridill by now too.

I'd hardly label NSG as a LS that hogged HNMs, or an LS that's "maxed" out. You should be careful who you go around pointing fingers at, you'll get 3 pointing right back at you.

I can say with certainty no NA shell on Siren has purposely in the past or present tried to hold HNM (prerage timer or not) in a certain time zone by fighting it for 6 hours or w/e it takes to keep it in their time, and that's the topic here, no pointing of fingers this way.

My friend works as a GM on wow and from all the stories I have heard GM action is a very very sujective thing. Alot of times they cant do anything even when by mere observation they can tell when someone is botting for example. In fact I think he mentioned once that the GMs breaking any rules, or taking unauthorized action is grounds for immediate termination.

Hell with that. I want to see them with their burning armor carrying heads of taru RMT on pikes, to be mounted at the city gates. If the policy needs to be changed to make that happen, I'd like to know where I could drop it off. Maybe if people saw GMs visible more often, the common perception of them wouldn't be that they are weak and ineffective.

PlayOnline Viewer > Service & Support > Support > E-mail Support > Comments & Suggestions lol. Either that or find some other way maybe through playonline.com to e-mail them. And that would be cool, but what would be better would is to have the STF in awesome characters and armor doin that shit. Since it's not usually the GMs taking care of RMT, so it would make more sense. Besides GMs only look cool 'cause no one else can wear the armor, I personally think it looks rather ugly. Although the shimmering is hot. 8)

Not really a great poster here but this caught my eye and i would have to say in all the encounters ive had with GMs that this is one thing that does annoy me greatly about GMs. Its extremly hard to hold a conversation with a GM and tank then relay that to the linkshell unless your on vent or TS.

Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

I've called a GM on some RMT that weren't in sky the next day. Very friendly, told me about reporting RMT through POL now, so I do that every now and again.

Also, I called a GM because I was stuck after the NPC dragon fight. Bind & Silence lasted a good 20 minutes on me. Just as it wore I got a GM, I had to apologise profusely but they were very nice and told me not to sweat it.

The opinion of GMs you have is likely based on how much you expected from a call. If you called to get something that they just can't give you, then you'll likely be left bitter and sour from the experience.

Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

You can report to the STF via the POL website without ever logging off the game now thanks to the Official Windowed Mode. I've done it for a long time now, since I primarily play on PS2/PS3 and could use my Laptop for internet at the same time.

    https://secure.playonline.com/supportus/index.html

STF is at the bottom of that page.

I used this all the time when my LS camped the "mini-HNMs" like Cassie, King Arthro, and Serket. We recognize the same group running from HNM to HNM, and can even tell some of them are played by the same person who played a previous banned RMT (/wave Bhandhou, on whichever chara he's playing now, and he actually responds ^^; ). It usually only took a week or two from when I would report them on the website for them to disappear, but they'd already be lvling new charas and be back again at the HNMs shortly after getting their old charas banned >.>

Yes, but it doesn't really count I guess

I called them to move me out of the bastok waters, they did it without question, and that was the end of it

Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

I remember trying to run up Parradamo Tor, I was getting frustrated because I kept falling. We all know that 1 ledge on the mountain that sometimes loves to push players off at if you don't run precisely the way it wants you to walk across it. Well I decided to call a GM and the conversation goes like this:

Me: Yeah, there's an invisible object blocking my path and is pushing me off.
GM: Ok, one moment while I find out the problem.
GM: I'm sorry for the inconvience this has caused you.
GM: The game is working as intended.
Me: Wait... so there's supposed to be something blocking my way?
GM: I'm sorry, but I cannot go into any game details.

So I concluded a few things from this:
SE wants to piss its players off.
Any glitches you find is fair game to abuse.

I then decide to call another GM who was cool and warped me to the top of the mountain.

Re: Have you ever been satisfied with a GM's response?

I can think of one call I made after a guy was Dia'ing every mob that went unclaimed by our BRD. Eventually we wound up wiping after getting overwhelmed with mobs, so I called a GM. Wound up getting the guy a 3 day suspension.

Of course, when he came back, and started putting personal info of mine into his search comment (IE: Name, address, cell phone #), the GM I then called didn't understand why it would be against the ToS
