Assault Tier 10 "The price is right"

Hi, I tried this assault last night with my group and well at 25% it started to ripp us apart. I read on a post in an alla post that it can be beat with 2 support and 4 dd and i'm just wondering if this can be confirmed cos dont really want to a waste a tag trying to burn it like that if it's not true

If it can be beat by 2 support and 4 dd would rdm,cor,mnk,sam,nin and blm(or smn) work. If not any advice for it would be appreciated cos I couldn't find much on it when I searched. Thanks :D

Heh. IMHO, the jumbo Tier-10 thread is really not something to brag about and point people toward as an information source. It's chock full of utterly useless posts along with some that are nice and a huge variety covering all the different tier10s. It's actually kinda mean to force someone to scrounge through that thread. ><

It would be MUCH nicer to have one thread for each different First Lieutenant assault.

BTW, on the "Price is Right", it's probably rather difficult with just DD and no tanks. The setup I like best for it is 2 support (one must be a SMN), 2 DD, 2 nin or sub/nin tanks.

SMN+NIN tank Goldie in the startup room. SMN needs to be at maximum range and keep Dream Shroud on the NIN.
Rest of the group focuses on slaying weapon adds. They can DD on Goldie, but it's a very good idea to have the second tank NOT dd on Goldie so he can snag weapons the instant they come in. It hurts when tank2 forgets and the weapon comes and casts a ga3 on the party.

A -ga stunner with the weapon team helps. It's nice if the NIN tanks have full sets of all types of tanking gear. IIRC, evasion tank works very nicely on Goldie. Almost all of his damage is from specials or spells. Subtle blow and MNK roll help immensely. Once the weapon team finishes up on weapons and starts to DD on Goldie, he starts spamming specials due to all the extra TP he's getting (ie. don't bring a THF unless you have no choice).

If you have a NIN that's never tanked any HNM, put him as weapon-tank. You definitely don't want a yahoo "DD only" nin to be your main tank. It's not an XP melee-burn.
