LCD display help.

As of late my lcd monitor goes into stand-by mode when I am not at my pc. This is normal. But when I go to "wake" it by hitting a key on my keyboard or moving my mouse it stays sleeping. To get it out of standby mode I have to turn it off and back on. Also when rebooting my pc, the monitor goes into standby as usual until the BIOS loads. But even when xp is fully loaded up I have to turn off and on the monitor to bring it out of standby. Its not that big of a deal, just wondering if any of you know what might be wrong?

Have you checked if theres an available driver for you lcd panel on windows update? its not really a driver to make the monitor run but more like a profile which lets windows know what your monitor power profiles are like and such so it can properly apply power settings like standby mode or waking from it.

If you rightclick on the desktop > properties > settings tab, the make and mode of your lcd panel should show up under the monitor icon if theres no specific drivers installed its using a generic one and will say plug and play monitor on <insert video card here>

if theres no available drivers available then uhhh idk dude >.> lol check the manufacturers website is the next best bet....if it still dont work then yea....lol cant be too much trouble to just press the power button no? =p
