Yet there are people in those two nations that have many more ops available than we do. So it's apparently not based on the number of controlled regions. For reference, the zones we control are every one between Sandy and Jeuno, except Eldieme which is beastmen controlled. Windurst controls only their city, Saruta, and Garlaige. Bastok controls only their city and Gustaberg. All the rest are beastmen controlled.

The Ops I have available are only the supply and resource ones. Nothing for Offensive, Military Training, Security, Intel, etc.
My server's Sandoria is the same, controlling 6 areas and only those Ops available. I've mentioned it before, but I'm of the belief that it's your nation's strategies determine what Ops are available. Windurst on my server has strategies for Intel gathering and they have all those Ops available and were at something like lvl6 recon last I looked, even though they control less areas then Sandoria. Sandoria seems fixated on resource gathering/procurement, weapons development, basically nothing security related or defensive or intel. And so it makes sense that the only Ops are those supply and resource ones. Higher level ranks open up more Ops in general, but your nation won't offer you entire categories if they're just not interested in those goals.

It just seems odd that a nation that controls more zones than the other two put together only gets resource and supply categories. You'd think with as powerful as we are, we'd get to do some Intel, Security, Offensive, and such. Or at least Offensive, since we're supposed to be good at war or something.

no offensive ops makes sense, since you don't have any orc-controlled territories to attack, but not having the others does sound strange.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

For the short time that I had other Ops available, the strategies were something like Preemptive strikes and considering Intel gathering. I wish I had wrote down exactly what they were. But when I lost my Ops I checked the strategies and they were all resource oriented goals.

A simple way to test this would be to get multiple people to post which Op categories they have available, and the strategies of their nation. Unless I missed a case where two different people in the same nation had different categories of Op campaigns available, then the theory seems to hold water. All the people I talk to on my server have the same categories for Sandoria's op campaigns, so rank doesn't seem to be a factor there.

Pre-emptive strikes and intel gathering currently. Only 5 OPs available with Bastok owning 3 areas. We have no offensive/defensive/military/intel, and we only have the first supply mission.

I'm sure this has to have been said, but I'm pretty sure there is a good chance that assessments decide which Ops are available.

If that was the case then a lot more people should have more ops available. I have highest current rank, and bastok doesn't suck on my server, still no new ops

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

I'm San d'Orian on Sylph-- we control the world. I initially had access to the crafting Ops, Vanguard, and Streetsweeper. I participated in a lot of Campaign battles, and still do. When I ranked up to Brass, I got the second type of crafting missions in addition to the above.

I kept doing Ops, repeating the crafting ones but keeping one Op Credit on me in case I triggered something new.

Last weekend, when I checked late one night after getting home, I had 1 Op credit and access to every known Op except nothing in the security category. At this time, Sandy did not control everything-- we were missing Eldieme and I think maybe Vunkerl.

I wanted to try Brave Dawn but knew I needed 3 people. It was late, I was tired, and the people I wanted to try it with weren't on, so I waited and went to bed.

In the morning, after the conquest update (and Sandy now owns 6), I had only the first two of each crafting Op and Vanguard. Nothing in any other category. I ranked up to Allied §§§ but no change. I campaigned my ass off, no change.

Basically, for a few hours, I had a lot of Ops. Two levels of most categories. Now I can't even do Crimson Domino.

If national policy determines Op availability, wouldn't people have or not have Ops for an entire week?

I just wish I knew what had triggered getting full Ops access. And what happened to trigger losing all my options.

I think I've seen the policy change mid-week. I'm not sure if it's just how people vote, or if the trends in campaign battles that can affect it during the week. There also certainly seems to be a big change after conquest tally though. It's hard to say exactly how that system works at the moment. But with the whole population ranked so low, it might be possible that the nation's natural npc tendencies are too strong to override. SE mentioned that as people rank up, their voices would carry more weight.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

A Summary of what we have so far:

We know that getting these new ops has nothing to do with the following:

    Reconnaissence Level
Number of Areas Controlled (with the exception of Offensive Missions requiring bstmen controlled areas and supply missions requiring non-city controlled areas)
Nation's Standing (1st of the 3 nations etc)
Medal Rank (Not counting the 2 new ones you get at rank 2)
    Ops Completed
    Campaign Battles Fought
    Missions/Quests Completed

They don't seem to be based on individual accomplishment whatsoever. They might be based on national strategies. They like to disappear rather quickly, and completing some of them does not force them to remain.

    Anything I'm missing?

You can rule that out. San d'Oria's strategy has never changed on Bahamut and I lost the Ops and randomly got them back.

I had something like 3 mission until first conquest OP, 3 more after 2nd, and ranking up added 6

OK this is untested (I think), but I can't think of a way to prove it

Specific ops is based on tally how many people suggest the battle strategy (As for San d'Orian, the NPC to talk with is Palardaifault V Draffles). and they pick the ops available to you based on the majority choices made on what they need to do.

In order for this to be true, the nation's strategy would have to change before the Ops appeared/disappeared. However, I have gotten and lost the Ops and San d'Oria's strategy has never changed.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

This morning I went to check my Ops Credits, had a couple but noticed I only had the small list of Ops for some reason(After having had the full list for the last several days). I decided to hold off and came back about an hour later and had my full list again. It has nothing to do with strategies, ranking up, recon, etc, imo. Nothing I can think of can explain me losing the list of Ops this morning and regaining it an hour later. Not to leave out the fact that in the last two days, before and after losing the Ops, I have done more Campaign battles then before(got about 15k AN last two days, only about 8k total before that).

Some might dissapears after a certain quota is met? Allow 50 supply delivery, then it dissapears from menu until ressource are depleted again

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

It's not like 1-2 disappear though the few times I've checked and seen them gone. I either have 3 Ops or all 15. It's not like the resource ones come and go or the sabotage ones come and go or something that might make sence.

I either have only Stock and Awe, Vanguard X-I and Crystal Fist I or all 15..

    Defensive Operations:
    -Aegis Scream II

    Intel Gathering:
