Campaign Ops Discussion

I know people who have all their Ops available probably couldn't care less about what causes others to only have a few, but for those of us who haven't ever been able to do anything but Stock and Awe, Vanguard-X, Crystal Fist, Material Storm and Iron Anvil it's incredibly frustrating. Please, the next time you go to get a mission if you have any of the following available to you: Streetsweeper, Delta Strike, Smokescreen, Pit Spider, Aegis Scream, Granite Rose, Hawk Eye, Slaugherhouse or Brave Dawn, just swing by your nation's War Climate NPC, choose your nation off the list (not the first option but the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option depending on your nation) and post how many stars your nation has for Supplies and for Resources. The one in Bastok is named Hinrich and he's right by the fountain, in Windurst it's Dallus-Mallus at (G-10) according to bg-wiki, and I don't know about sandy but it's likely to be close to the Ops NPC as well. I'm fully aware this idea may be completely off, but right now we're grasping at straws because it sucks not to be able to complete the full catalog of missions.

Had an extra tag so decided to try Vanguard-X II. I brought the NPc to the same fortification as last time but didn't let me finish (might have to do something with Campaign?) so decided to try the "farther" one and didn't give me anything either so I failed. I was thinking maybe have to bring it to the Bastok zone or maybe I did something wrong. If anyones find out about Vanguard-X II let me know.

I did vanguard X II at the same outpost as before. Campaign was ongoing when I brought him and it didn't effect anything. I think you didn't quite bring him close enough to the outpost, I bring them right to the campaign NPC.

This is what I don't understand, Sandy on Ragnarok was basically the same with the only difference being that Supplies had 2 stars, Resources were 3 or higher (depending on when I checked), yet I only had the 5 basic ops you get for having the 2nd ribbon (despite me having the 3rd one).

I only had the additional ops for like a day before they disappeared on me.

Same for me. Had the additional ops for a few hours after Sundays Tally, and now i'm stuck with the same 5 initial ops again. Bastok controls 6 areas now, i'm on the 3rd ribbon but i have absolutely no clue what triggers the ops missions. They just seem to come and go without any reason.

So I had all the Ops after Tally, did one Campaign Op (Brave Dawn I), after I was done with that one, they were all gone. This morning I checked, nothing, now they're back. Something to do with JP Midnight? I have no idea lol

A thought came to me. The Offensive Op has you attacking a beastman stronghold, right? Well that was all fine and dandy when Pashhow and Rolanberry were unattainables but now, the beastman have almost nothing or nothing at all. So, is it possible to do this op when the beastmen don't own anything?

And on a lesser note, is it like the defensive op where you have to defend an outpost of your nation in that you have to attack one of your respective beastmen faction? (Me being Bastokan, would it have to be Quadav?)

I haven't done Crimson Domino, Smokescreen I & II, orAegis Scream II.

I have done Stock and Awe I, Streetsweeper I, and Crystal Fist I, which you didn't list.

Signed up for Stock and Awe II (W) and the item required from me was some Yagudo Kote.

I googled, looked on otherwiki and bgwiki, searched every possible forum I knew of and couldn't find anything on what dropped them.

So started killing the Yagudo Initiates in Saruta_S and about 3 hours later, still no drop.

I tried killing the non-kote-wearing yags, and nothing. I went to the Fort_S and tried killing those yags, and nothing.

I went and killed some MNKs, NINs, and SAMs in Meriph_S, and nothing.

Eight hours later I decide to go back to Saruta_S and kill more Initiates and finally get the drop.

Consider yourself lucky if you happen to find a pair on AH.

I did Stock and Awe II (W) the other day, and consider yourself lucky. He made me give 4 Gnat wings (which are never on AH), and farming those things is so annoying. Drop rate was pretty shitty, too.

After killing about 40~ or co coppercaps in rolanberry with TH4 finally got one.

is there some kind of requirement for a country to get the more "advanced" missions? ie: streetsweeper,slaughterhouse,granite rose, etc

i've been saving my tags for 3 days now and I havent seen them one time in at least 20

I saw them quite often before this weeks tally and even then bastok only controlled 2 areas.. now we control 5 and they are no where to be found

I'm beginning to think there's a minimum amount of xp or allied notes you need to successfully complete the Aegis Scream missions.

I've done 4 Aegis Scream II missions, and both times where I was awarded more than 1kxp naturally, I fulfilled the mission, and received my additional reward. The two times I fell under 1k, I was not awarded, and consequently failed the mission.

Can anyone else confirm?

people have said they could do multiple campaign battles to get the bonus no? someone should try doing one for 600 or so, then doing another one for similar and see if they get the flag then.

:Edit: Finished the campaign (victory) with 1.3kxp, but still no mission accomplished... maybe its bugged? I've lost 3 straight since the last update.

I did this one last night right after getting my evaluation. Meriphataud Mountains [S]... stayed for the whole thing, got ~1800 XP ~1400 AN? and the reward XP for completing the Op. I've yet to try it since, but there were no problems on that one attempt.
