Campaign Ops Discussion

North Gustaberg, Pashhow Marshlands, and Rolanberry Fields all has campaign happening and I could not get any defensive ops. I could get them yesterday around the same time though, along with all the others.

Sort of similar, i'm also on fenrir server (Windy though, not Bastok) and have rarely had defensive ops available at all the past few weeks. In fact, I have never had Aegis Scream II (and of course no Aegis Scream III) listed eventhough I have the Gold Star of Service.

Anyone having difficulty with Brave Dawn III? I did the sandy version last night with a whm, rdm and monk and the scorpion was owning the NPC. We kept him cured the whole time, had the scorpion to 50% then bam, double attack and a tp move = dead NPC. I am guessing it will take ore than 3 people to do, which kinda sucks. Any thoughts?

I've done Brave Dawn III twice, both wins.

You -have- to keep the NPC up to 90 percent+ the whole time- keeping a dedicated heal targeted on him is preferrable. I had a Death Scissors oneshot me for 1100+ damage (cured the NPC, Scorp turned, double attacked and buh-bye Tarutaru me). The other two members pulled it off fine from there FTW.

We did it RDM/BLM, RDM/NIN, RDM/WHM with one group, RDM/NIN, MNK/NIN, RDM/BLM the second.

He's one GM I won't take for So keep calling GM's, and use what he said too. Twice the amount of reports to the dev team might just get this fixed.

Oh snap. Good news for certain. I was pulling my hair out this morning when I went to run some craft ops on a lowbie job, and found only Supply Procurement and Transport available. So I did one escort, got back and all of my Manufacturer ops were back. Did one, and they were gone. Waited a few minutes and they were back. Did one and they were gone again. This was all in the span of about 45 min. :/

I just waited and tried again at 11:03 game time, and they were back. The more I notice these "glitches", the more I have come to believe that availability is determined every in-game hour, even if it is fucked-up at the moment.

Just to be clear on this, if you do not win an Aegis Scream the first time around (get enough xp), you can repeat it until you win? I've lost a campaign op credit talking to the campaign op npc after doing a Campaign that did not yield enough xp.

It is highly unlikely for you to get the 2.5-3k needed in a single campaign to clear Aegis Scream III, so yeah, I would say it's safe to say you can get the exp over many fights.

I would think he's a multilingual GM, because "elvaan" isn't the only thing he misspelled and his grammar is generally pretty bad, which would be acceptable if it was your second or third language. :ashira:

I am on Golden Star |||| at the moment, 1 day from emblem, and i was doing Stock and Awe III, i failed because i clicked the wrong item by mistake and now i can't access any Stock and Awe I-III

Has anyone had an experience like this? i find it odd

Sounds like the weird time glitch that makes some appear and disappear.

Also: Nothing new Op wise from Copper Emblem that I've seen. No Tier IV of anything.

All but Resource Procurement, Supply Transport, and Supply Manufacture disappear for some unknown reason

i was wondering... what if there is an OP cap for each nation for each week?
I mean, since every OP is supposed to boost (even if just a little) nation stats, it could be that the devs decided to limit the amount of bonuses each nation can aquire during the same week. this limit could be high but still, with ppl spamming OPs i'm actually sitting with no OPs since 2-3 days.
i'll wait and see if right after tally everything pops again

I'm theorizing that Ops change(appear/disappear) every Vana'diel day. I've only barely been able to test it out.

Additionally, tactical assessment(please read my thread!) decides which are available.

I just had the list change/disappear within the same vana hour. Had all the supply and security ones available, talked on LS for a min, then went back and poof.

just got my 1st emblem, the campaign ops list for defensive/offensive/security was empty, basicly whats left is just stock and awe + crystal fist category

no new ops for copper emblem, obviously.

i've noticed that you only seem to get new ops on 2 $'s and 4 $'s

so, on the next emblem we have crimson domino III, granite rose III, pit spider III, iron anvil III, materiel storm III, any others i might have missed.

however, on the fourth emblem.. I don't know what we might get, are there still only up to III's in the .DATs?

if so maybe we can use that as a good update forecast.

Yes. I've accepted Aegis Scream, gone off and exp'd, logged out, changed jobs/zones, gone back and done campaign in different areas and it all counted towards the total tally.

Ranked up to Iron Emblem, unlocked a couple new ops:

Material Storm 3 - Asked for a hi-potion, heh. Bought one from the goblin npc in town and traded it to win. 340 exp, 980 notes.

Crimson Domino 3 - Saw no difference from the previous two, but the gate sentry did give a message "The supplies will rot if not delivered in time, you must hurry." Not sure if thats new. 350 exp, 1000 notes.

Delta Strike 3 - Waiting for help before I pop it >.>

Nothing else new was listed in other mission types, though sandy has had next to nothing available for quite some time now.

Edit: Meh went ahead and popped it solo, DRK RNG RDM goblins, seem to have much more hp than previous missions. Burned through too much mp bringing the rdm down solo, retreated >.> will try again in a bit.

Tier III Ops are the last ops currently available in the *.dat files. No more new ops after Iron Emblem for now I think. This month's update will probably add more campaign ops.

In between ops there are 7 slots left, like this:
