I'm becoming convinced that your "composition" while using the Fiendtrapper might come into play. When you have a successful Fiend Plate, he compliments your use of the "rule of thirds" which is a photography concept for those who are unfamiliar. I'm starting to think that you either need to be facing the front-ish part of the mob you're photographing, or that the fiend trapper essentially takes a screenshot of your screen while using it and judging the usability on whether you can see the mobs clearly or not. Campaignemon Snap? Also, you can only trade plates that are Yagudo, Orc, and Quadav for your respective country. Campaign NMs tend to be a lot more successful and you can only trade one plate in per mob, so travelling to various Fortifications that are under siege and getting a photo of the mob type in the campaign wave as well as their NM is the best way to clear this operation. Just to be safe, I'd move in front of the mob as well as composing the mob nicely in the screen before I use Fiendtrapper. Please report any photographic failures if you do this as well.

I know it doesn't have much do to with an actual line of sight. I managed to get a successful picture of a Orc Mesmerizer in Ronfaure through a wall. Not sure which way it was facing, because I couldn't see it.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

I accepted Search and Seizure I (B) the other day, and traveled to Beadeaux [S] as that is the only beastman-controlled area for Bastok this week. I wandered around forever, and did not once see a Transporter or the Guards. Then I checked the mob listings in the .dats and there doesn't even appear to be any there? Is there anyone else under the same circumstances as I am? Is there some other objective I should do in Beadeaux, or will they be up in Crawler's Nest even though that's Bastok-controlled? Will going to Eldieme (beastmen controlled) work even though I'm not Sandy, or is this one of those Ops they let you accept even when you can't complete it that they'll eventually patch?

Got mine in Eldieme, saw some in garlaige citadelle earlier. Pretty sure they will be in Crawler nest. Beastman fortress probably doesnt count since ennemy isnt delivering supply there

for deep cover II, both mobs I slept before ended up in a faillure, but it might be a coincidence. The one I aggroed worked. got 4 in jugner, 1 in davoi. The one in davoi failled and another in jugner failled (5 different kind of orc).

Are Eldieme and Garlaige Beastmen-owned or Allied-owned on your server atm?

Having same problem Suiram is, signed up for it in sandy, only area under control of beastmen atm is La Vaule, walked around there for an hour and didnt see anything.

Come sunday most of the areas will be beastmen anyway so no problem waiting it out, just annoying if theyre only in beastman controlled areas but not the bases.

Steel Resolve II has the same crystals and NPCs as version I, but they don't line themselves up in a nice order like in ver I. They also run away faster it seems. I believe it added 4 to the max fortification level though. East Ronfaure has 194 fortification level now and Sarutabaruta is up to 201. I'd wager a guess it'll cap at 300 like the cities.

Beastman owned, but the quest specify it has to be in beastman owned area.

If all region are controlled by your nation, then I guess it's possible to get it in Davoi. No clue where they run, but I would assume to go near fortification at some point since it seem to be their destination. Just wait 5min on different bridge/passage, and they will pass by you eventually.

Could also try to get supply from garlaige/crawler if you can, maybe those works too.

Any trick for it? I have a lot of trouble beating it (failled twice).

Also, anyone know how to make those training assault appears? I failled the 3rd one (scorpion one shotted our npc), and could never get it back.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Do Steel Resolve I a couple times and just get to know the NPCs. I is very easy because the NPCs line up in the order of the crystals in dialog box, which also happens to be the order of days of the week. I wasn't offered III, so I don't know how hard that is, but for II it was just a matter of knowing which NPCs needed which crystals and where in the list that crystal was.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

I beat Steel Resolve II with no errors but one run-away. The scene starts with 4 NPCs and there's no way you can pick the right crystal for all 4 of them because of the delay of the menus... so, I had to let one run, but I've done it so much that I've gotten used to the NPCs and their crystal.

To make it easy for others:

    [First Menu]
FIRE: Elvaan man with red hat
ICE: Tarutaru girl with blonde pigtails
WIND: Hume woman in goldsmithing apron

    [Second Menu]
EARTH: Elvaan man with darksteel greataxe
    LIGHTNING: Mithra in dark cloak
WATER: Tarutaru boy in blue gambison

    [Third Menu]
LIGHT: Hume man in white gi
DARK: Elvaan woman with W. turban

When you see them running up, highlight it on the list and pick it as soon as they stop.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Dear god, I got Steel Resolve III last night, I'm not sure what it wants from me, but I don't have the blood it craves. Need someone capable of doing Dragonforce on Expert or something to beat that Op. Just from the downtime of when you command a crystal and the next time you get the option to use another crystal, 1-2 workers run off. I literally was always waiting for the option to use another crystal and quickly choosing another the moment it was offered, and I still failed with zero mistakes.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

I tried it again and managed to pass it, but the second time I did it it was much simpler. First time the NPCs came in waves 3-4 at a time and I couldn't help but lose a couple each wave. Second time they were staggered and I managed to get all but two of them. So I suppose it's beatable if it doesn't decide to totally shaft you.

If you're from Bastok, do NOT do any Slaughterhouse in Pashhow. The bomb doesn't explode.

This happened to me and 2 friends. We then went to grauberg and all went 1/1.

Short story even shorter, don't do it there, you'll waste credits.

for deep cover II, both mobs I slept before ended up in a faillure, but it might be a coincidence. The one I aggroed worked. got 4 in jugner, 1 in davoi. The one in davoi failled and another in jugner failled (5 different kind of orc).
Just to alleviate any fears someone might have, I slept every mob I photographed and completed it fine.

Yeah. Forgot to rectify my post after I completed Deep Cover 3. Proximity seem to be the only factor (need to face them too?)
Need to be jugner/la vaule orcs, no repeat.
