I cleared Smokescreen III post-patch with a lot less XP and Notes by staying in a single zone (Meriph). I would estimate maybe 3k AN total.
I failed III twice before I decided to just sit my ass in the zone and not leave until the ops finished. To hell with wasting all my tags failing. ><

Check the BG wiki for the amounts of XP you need, those figures felt accurate to me. (III and II anyway, doing I tonight.)

If you can stay in zone for Smokesceen 3 that is better, I thought it had happen in battle.

I stayed in Rolanberry [s] for 3 more battles (killed transporters for a few hours) and got:
    1780/1350
    1320/1321
    1587/983

Those were without zoning and on top of a previous 14k worth of xp assaulting a beastmen controlled area. I still did not get win. I gave up and talked to Hieronymus and failed.

Nope, luckily it doesn't have to be in one battle. You can even turn your tags in multiple times in one battle and you can still succeed.

You must have already failed before those 3 battles even took place. Once you fail, you can't unfail. My recommendation is to sign up again, warp to the zone of your choice, and stay there until you clear the mission.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

In regards to Deep Cover: If the NPC rejects your fiend plates for being "too weak" you CAN still use them on lower levels of the OP.

For Deep Cover 3: He only accepted the pics of the campaign NM yags specific to Sauromugue and Garlaige; Meriphataud and all the other ones that go to random areas didn't work. I failed the first time because of this, then used my "too weak" pics to complete Deep Cover 2 without leaving town.

For the third pic, the VT yags at the upper levels of Castle Oztroja worked--I got aggro trying to get past the 4 switch door, slept the yags, took pics, and left to turn them in, and they worked (Conductor / Nokizaru).

350 / 1000 for deep cover 3. Not doing that Op again.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Just completed Aegis Scream III for the first time. Had to campaign over a two day period to get it finished. First day I waited almost an hour for a campaign battle to start in one of the two zones under my nation's control. The battle was short (four regiments of NPCs). Rather than wait around, I warped out and did some offensive campaign battles, warping back when there was a defensive opportunity. After a few hours, I logged for the night. Second day, I went to one zone and stayed there until I got the clear message. Took two battles: a two-wave battle and a single-wave battle.

So, while the requirement could be simply an accumulation of a certain amount of XP/AN, it seems to me it's three waves without leaving the zone. I imagine Smokescreen is the same for offensive campaign zones.

I finally got Smokescreen 3 done, only took 2 battles. Too bad I won't be ranked up enough to get the rest of the beastman controlled ops done

I did Steel Resolve III, and with the exception of 3 of the starting npc's, I got every npc the correct crystal.

Aegis Scream III appears to be about 10K exp/5K AN. Took me 2 days.

Ummmm yea no, I knocked it out in about 2k+. The reason it took you two days is because you didn't stay in the zone.

The location of the ??? for the windurst version has been known for several months now.
    See also the Tier III

I personally find these the quick and easy OPs for tag usage.

Odd, he rejected that for me. It could be he pops at different levels, and some are accepted and some are rejected.

Did he specifically reject it for being too weak? If he said that the picture is no good, it means you were too far / facing the wrong way (or something like that).

For Deep Cover 3, he's rejected 3 different orc Campaign NMs (all from Jugner) and a non-NM campaign orc.

Weird tried again for same campaign op but I think it rejected it this time. VVuuPuqutheBeguiler and Grim also rejected. Going to complete campaign op today to see if it actually accepted my first one.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Has anyone succeeded at Deep Cover III for Sandy? If so, which NMs did he take?

    The following were 'too weak':

    Dirtyhanded Gochakzuk
    Deathlord Rojgnoj
    One-eyed Gwajboj
    Poisonhand Gnadgad
    Steelbiter

    I'm guessing these might work:
    Conqueror Bakgodek
    Jagidbod's Warmachine?
    Battlemaster Vatgit??

I can't remember the last time I saw Battlemaster Vatgit...

Edit: Even though the wolves are listed as part of the Orc forces, the NPC won't even take a plate of Anders.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Why even pursue this? To win Deep Cover 3 just use the beastmen right inside the zone of their stronghold. You can easily zone out if you catch aggro, and there is a warp NPC to send you home.

    Re: Campaign Ops Discussion

Deep Cover 3: Took 2 pics just outside of agro range on VT Yagudos facing the camera & NPC gave the I suck at taking pictures excuse. So I'm guessing you have to be in sight agro range.

    Tried again.
    This not so bad.

Yag Prioress VT Accepted (Outside of Castle)
Yag Knight Templar T Accepted (Outside of Castle) probably 78-79
Yagudo Sentinel T Accepted (First Yagudo guarding cliffs) probably 76-77
