Steel Resolve III, I am having a lot of trouble on. Already failed 3 times on it. The promps just don't come up fast enough. For example 4 npcs will run up, and I can only do 2 and the other 2 run off. Any ideas on beating this?

The only time the prompt doesn't come up fast enough is for the first batch of npc's. After you cycle through them, you should be able to keep up with the rest after you've gotten the hang of it.Originally Posted by Zumi

Personally I just wrote down what race/gender/defining trait gets what crystal and by the time I tried Steel Resolve III (after having done I and II), it was pretty easy.
I haven't seen any mention of it, but anyone have Search and Seizure 2/3 or Bridge Too Far 2/3 available to them?
I've completed both t1 easy enough, just want to know if the t2/t3 are programmed in game yet.
Those two only have tier 1 in the mission .dats. The rest of the Ops have three tiers. Although I still haven't seen tiers 2 and 3 of Pit Spider or Granite Rose for Bastok on Pandy.![]()
I've been working off the list on FFXI Wikia which lists Bridge Too Far 2. Just curious would anyone have a list of all the OPs from the DATs? Since some never become available its kinda hard to work off a set list of which oness need to be beaten.Originally Posted by Suiram

not sure what it means but it's obviously a placeholder for when they insert new missions and/or higher tiers.
Thanks, once I finish Smokescreen 3 which I'm majority of the way through atm, I'll be at 45/53 which is the shitty tier 2/3 Ones and Hawk Eyes 1/2 to finish off, missed my chance last week at getting all three of them done.Originally Posted by Suiram

I think there's 2 criteria:Originally Posted by Sekkite

which can all be taken care of if you get agro & take a pic. I think if you get hit, the pic can still come out ok.

New question:
Anyone know if there's any point in switching allegiances to do OPs for different nations? I noticed all mine had a W by them to indicate Windurst. Only reason I'm asking is because Windurst has control of 6 regions & don't think we'll ever get another beastmen controlled region again under than Garlaige Citadel so I can't do any of the Security ones. Now I wish I did all of them when we last updated.
You should still be able to do security even if you control everything. Unless you meant certain Offensive and Intel Ops in which case yeah you're screwed probably for a few months until they make campaign super-hard in a version update and then nerf it again a week later in an emergency maintenance.
You can switch to other nations and do their Ops but it'd have an (S) or (B) next to it. From what I understand you could do all Ops in all nations (159 total atm) and have them all listed under Campaign Ops. I'll probably do that once WotG reaches the end and they are done releasing all the Ops so I only have to hop around once.
Yea I meant Intel & Offensive! Of course it seems like Bastok has no problem losing to beastmen. This week it says 6, 6, 4 on Valefor.Originally Posted by Suiram
It's the opposite here. We (Bastok) had 6/6 for months until patch, then lost all but N. Gust the first week, got Grauberg last week, and this week we're back at 6/7 with no signs of losing any time soon. All it took was for us to build up some Recon and to make our Morale go up (so our NPCs wouldn't warp the moment one of them died) and Quadav Morale down (they don't run off right away but they do when they're down to a few left). Fortunately I finished Smokescreen, Hawkeye, and Slaughterhouse while we were missing some areas lol
By the way, in the event that you do lose some areas and start working on your missing Ops, you should know that in addition to those 9, you also should do Search and Seizure if you haven't. You can do them in Cnest/Eldieme/Garlaige but not in Beadeuax/La Vaulle/Oztroja.
Search and Seizure I does NOT require bind or gigantic nukes. I soloed it as a 75 BRD/WHM. The mobs will only flee away from you if you aggro them. The trick is to hide and wait for them to pass by, then pull the transporter without linking the guards. Note: Some jobs can handle one or even both guards, but my BRD/WHM couldn't.
Once you make the pull, you might link a guard or two. If so, don't give up! Even though these guys flee away pretty fast when you sight aggro them, they are actually really bad at chasing you down when you pull them. You can easily outrun them and lose hate in 10-15 seconds. At this point, you can try pulling the transporter again. If all else fails, let them deliver the supplies and wait for the next group to come through. In Garlaige Citadel they passed by every 4-5 minutes.
If you want to completely fill up your Campaign Mission log, you will need to change nations and redo all the Ops under each nation. I spent some time under Sandy and Bastok before going to Windurst. My Campaign Mission log shows 4 Ops ending in (S), 4 ending in (B), and then nearly every single Op ending in (W). For example, my log lists Streetsweeper I (S). Streetsweeper I (B), and Streetsweeper I (W) separately.Originally Posted by Kittyn
Okay, I need help. I'm down to 5 Ops to be 53/53 for Bastok, and they haven't shown up for months, if ever. Now that I've tackled the offensive and intel Ops I was missing, I want to work on what needs to be done to access these.
Can anyone who has access to any of the following Ops post their national information and which are available to see if a pattern emerges? Pit Spider II, Pit Spider III, Granite Rose II, Granite Rose III, Brave Dawn II, Brave Dawn III.
For reference, I have access to none of the above Ops (only tier 1s for them) and our info is as follows:
Recon 5
Preemptive Strikes >> Reconnaissance
Weapons Development >> Stronghold Outfitting
Campaign Ops Guy
Funds: 1
Supplies: 5
Tactics: 10
Skill: 10
Production: 10
National Information Guy
Funding: 1
Supplies: 4
Resources: 9
Skill: 10
Production: 10
Freelances: 1
I was able to complete Granite Rose II and Brave Dawn II a long time ago. But otherwise I am 50/53 and missing the same ones as you.Originally Posted by Suiram
Telling your survery NPC that you want "Troop Conditioning" should help trigger Brave Dawn missions, but there might be other factors like Morale/Prosperity/Resources.
Yeah I got Brave Dawn II a while back too, but I'm missing the other 5, and it hasn't been available for a while either. I figured since they were all assault-type they'd have a similar "trigger" or something.
Just out of curiosity but which Campaign ops you guys spam for exp & notes when you've done all the ones you need?
Also screw you SE for making Deep Cover soul plates EX as I was going to put a bazaar at the NPC & sell them![]()
Street Sweeper 3 with jobs >20 <37Originally Posted by Kittyn
That's what I was doing pre-update, too. However, I forget how much exp it gives, there might be some others that give more that can be done on low-level. For instance, the one whose name I can't remember right now where you give the NPCs crystals (my new favorite Ops), and I'd imagine for Deep Cover you could take the pictures on a 75 job and turn them in on a lower job. Deep Cover probably takes more time than is worth it, though. I've been meaning to look into this as well.
Steel Resolve III is making me want to tell the beastmen the ignore Tavnazia and keep marching for the cities. I can see the difference between my PC and my laptop, the laptop takes a lot longer to pull up the prompt, but even with the PC they fucking run away too fast at the start. And if you click on the crystal for one that has run away, it will take so long for the prompt to come back up another group will have come and gone. This op is mother fucking lame.
Also for Deep Cover (B), you can take pictures of the Quadavs outside of Beadeaux [S] as long as you can sleep them. I was able to get it done lickety-split with Recall-Pashh, run to the Beadeaux [S] zone line, pull one to sleep, snaps some shots, zone in, then repeat. Only had to go out there twice with one to spare since you can use the extra plates for the next one. Just don't repeat the same mob in the same mission.
And Steel Resolve III is total cockslaw.
