You'll probably be able to do the battle with [a] Bastoker[s] who has the op and be able to lot even if you're not Bastokan.

I mentioned this in another post in reference to the Steel Resolves, but I think that possibly people doing the lower tier 1s trigger the higher tier availability, and that now more people are doing the tier 1s of the unpopular Ops since they're 5 stars.Originally Posted by AzazaelFenrir
That is possible, but Brave Dawn 1 still had all 5 stars, as did 2 when I did 3. Ops that require 3+ aren't done as much, so I expect them to keep the 5 star rank.Originally Posted by Suiram
Does anybody happen to know if you need to have a craft leveled for Iron Anvil II/III and Crystal Fist II/III?
I've been waiting for them to pop up for an eternity but all the NPC offers to me are the level I versions.
Aegis scream IV:
I'm interested in other theories on this. My old one was it was based on the amount of XP earned (since I didn't complete AS II till I broke 2k xp in a battle) but now I think it's in proportion to either damage taken during a campaign, tanking while in a campaign, or just righteously pissing something off for as long as you can.
Why? I just completed IV after starting mid battle, one wave, in bastok markets where I only attacked one monster the entire time. (PioDH, I know, and i'll provide later if requested).
What happened: I went to get tags, put up SS and Blink and found shadoweye just chilling in front of the metal works entrance throwing up airy shield and blaze spikes over and over. So I dispelled, dia, and ran the hell away before a Firaga III landed. Then I ran back, and managed to pull him all the way to the bastok mines zone for Ludwig and co. to have fun with.
On the way I dispelled him 20+ times, Dia'ed him 10+ times, ate 15 firaga II and III's, (Thank you stone skin and barfire, 15 cumulative not each) and managed to keep hate until he aggroed all the NPCs who dealt with him for me.
I probably took well over 8-10k damage through the battle if stoneskin is counted, but only dealt maybe 500-800 damage on my own. I never engaged another monster (they where all dead by the time he died) and the battle ended when he went down. I also never died thanks to him not closing to melee range and never getting off a successful -ga III without full SS up and me at full health.
it would have been my third battle in bastok with IV up, maybe like my 20'th overall since accepting the op randomly last night after getting Mythril Wings.
Trying to do Stock and Awe IV...which Rafflesia drop Vines? Cant seem to get it in west saru
They all do, but I'm guessing the ones in Fort have a higher drop rate.
0/30 in Fort on PLD/THF now.. sure they drop here? Ive only got 1 Petal, no vineOriginally Posted by Aerin

:s I really hope it isn't you need to take the stronghold..
Did Bastok on your server lose all non-Markets zones, and then reclaim Gusta, Grauberg, and Pashhow after a week of city fighting, or have you yet to lose them all at the same time?Originally Posted by Rocl
Last week Bastok only had Rolanberry and Bastok Markets. So yeah, it reclaimed everything sans Crawler's Nest and lost Rolanberry.Originally Posted by Suiram
What I meant was, was there ever a week yet on Bahamut where all zones except Markets were taken by the Beastmen, and they were raiding Markets for that week? For instance on Pandemonium Bastok and Sandy have been clinging to one zone, so we aren't getting city raids, while Windy lost all this week and get the constant invading you read about.
My thinking is you have to go from that non-stop city week back to owning one or two non-city zones (or maybe Saruta/Gusta/Ronf specifically) to trigger that Op.
Nada, only Windurst has been attacked on Bahamut. I unfortunately don't know of anyone who has Wings Medals and is Windurstian![]()
They've said before that some Ops will take more than one credit (if I interpreted it right) so maybe you need a lot of credits to trigger it? It would keep it from being spammed I guess. Although I doubt it, seeing as how someone probably would've mentioned it by now if it was that simple.
I experimented with incorporating the new 5 star ranking into the Sandy Ops section.

Yay or nay? If it's decent I'll do Windy/Bastok the same and people can add the new awarded exp/AN they get.
People have reported that they get varying rewards within the same star-rank. Maybe the best bet would be to list the "base" exp/AN reward in the Ops table, and then have a separate table that gives the range of multipliers based on the number of stars the Op has (once the details of how that actually works are ironed out).
Are there any great differences in medal rank, and Ops ranking also? Like would someone with wing rank get a lot more than a star rank for the same rated Ops? This kind of lack of knowledge is what I get after months of Streetsweeper on low lvl jobs.
I am really starting to wonder what decides when ops can be done. On Saturday there were 0 Offensive and Defensive ops available (it was that way most of the week). Yet on Sunday Offensive had Smokesceen 1 -3 and Pit Spider 1 and 2. Defensive had Aegis Scream 1-4 and Granite Rose 1 and 2. During this time Windy still has no control other than the city.
I asked before but never saw a reply so I will ask again: Has anyone actually done Pit Spider 3? I just wanted to know because failWiki doesn't even list it anymore. If it does exist I am hoping to get it done this week, that would leave me 3 ops to do (Prying Eyes, and the two tier 4 supply ones they just added).
I cleared Pit Spider 3 for Sandy on Valefor. I'm currently the 3rd Wing rank, but I did that Op back before they were introduced. It was actually kinda hard... you need more than 3 people to keep all the mobs busy before they kill your NPCs in 3 rounds.
