Campaign Ops Discussion

Anyway, I did delta strike as well. Not a terribly eventful fight, but it was a great deal harder than I'd thought it would be seeing as a good deal of previous Ops could be done at level 1. The goblin hit my 75 blue mage for about 60 damage, and had triple attack, though its evasion didn't seem very high. Killing the goblin and checking the ??? gave 160 limit points on the spot, and returning to Rasdinice gave 620 allied notes.

Just did the same Op solo as SMN and I did not expect it to be this easy. The NM was hitting Garuda for maybe 15-20 damage each time if it hit her at all. I was actually worried about doing it on WAR/NIN from what I was reading but feel like it could be done easily.

So can anyone confirm how to gain new campaign ops.?

1) Nation controls more areas, thus opening more assignments.

2) Rank up.

3) Complete all current campaign ops.

I'm not looking forward to doing the crafting ones, but if I have to complete all the first ones instead of spamming the same supply ones to get the rest, I guess I have no choice.

Do you rank up via campaign, or ops missions? Or is it both?...

I've just been doing each new Op that I get. I've only had to repeat ops two times so far. Doing about 1 or 2 ops a day, it seems to give me new options after I've finished the last couple of ops. Though, I haven't been heavy in campaign lately, because it sucks hard core for a casual player to find a good campaign lately...

I just used ffxi.somepage.com, since it's easy to look up items on there fast enough. Just when they ask you what to synth, before you hit enter to go onto the selection lists, look up the recipe. I had plenty of time to have my browser open, my game window's chat viewable in the background, and my cursor on the "Item" field, waiting to type the green text that showed up... I noticed there was a 1-2 second lag between the last enter push and the time you get your item listed.

I even got confused at first, since my first item was 2x Brass Ingots + 1x Silver ingots, with silver being listed first, not being on the first selection list (but brass was) and me taking a couple of seconds to figure "Hey, you can also be looking for the other ingredients!" Passed them all with flying colors.

I'm sure it will, I just don't want to fall behind with this expansion. I fell way back with assaults due to lack of interest, and paid for it -- I want to stay on top of all the new tricks of the trade this time around.

actually, from my own experience I think you can open more Ops on any given rank by doing more campaign. On Bismarck the campaign map has almost been stagnant, but two nights ago I did a lot of campaign battles, next day after I got my tag the new Ops opened up. So if you're still having trouble getting the additional ones and you've used all your op tags, try doing more campaign.

So I gave the cooking crafting one a shot -- waste of a tag. They asked for speed and shadow apples: no problem, but then I got a Lik kabob -- the shit isn't on somepage or any other crafting site I checked. I finally had to just guess, but then he told me I took too long.

Granite Rose is stupid easy. Just helped a friend out w/ the Windurst one.

Head to L-9 Sauromugue Champaign, there's a Fortilace there- that's your entrance.
Go inside, head to H-9, there's a Federation Garrison (NPC) sitting there, by the time you get there 3 Yagudo Stormers should be running in.
NIN BLM SAM, are the jobs- they're really really easy, one attack round from my Ninja took off 10% of their life. When you kill those, head back to the entrance and click on the Dawn Aureola to exit. 640 Allied Note reward, not bad.
(Whoever exits is the only person who gets exp, probably a bug? but it's 170 exp)

Anyone know how to do Crimson Domino for Windurst? Not sure what npc or whatever to get these supplies to. The zone is under beastman control and there is no campaign battle going on now.

Doesn't the mission statement specifically say to do it in an area that your nation controls?

It says to pick up supplies from an area under federation control, then deliver supplies to final destination. I'll try West Sarutabaruta [S] though and update on how that goes.

Edit: Delivered it to Mhik Liusihlo, M.C. in West Sarutabaruta [S] and the mission was completed.

I've been sitting on three or so tags for awhile now, I ranked up to the second one and did the new Ops available to me... Anyone know why I haven't been able to get a new one yet? Sandy kind of sucks in campaign right now, dunno if that's it or not. ~_~
