Oh, I wasn't aware the walls/flooding happened in the first assault, then yeah. But the Fenrir thing is definitely yet to occur. They started us off right at the most interesting parts of the war basically.
I'm guessing that Palborough/Davoi are taken back by the Allied Forces and then are retaken later. I don't think SE is retconning; they specifically stated they were going to avoid that.
Elshimo Campaign was about Windurst vs. Bastok. Technically it was Bastok vs. Mithran Pirates, but they were being backed in secret by Windurst.Originally Posted by Altanass
The gigas battles were not part of the crystal war. This was before the Beastmen Confederate was formed by the Shadow Lord (I think). But it could very well be an event that isn't on any of the timelines we were given yet.
Can someone refresh my memory as to when/where the Ark Angels came from?
Any possible way they are the "Champions of Dawn"?
Ark Angels protect the mothercrystals, so unless the mothercrystals are somehow involved, I doubt they are the Champions of the Dawn.Originally Posted by NeoReign
I'm fairly certain WE are the Champions of the Dawn.
Davoi hasn't really been talked about has it? We clearly see the house in some of the preview movies, so it is obviously an area still intact that we have been unable to explore yet.Originally Posted by Yutuyu
If anything, I suspect the monistary is simply surrounded, but not fully taken yet. We'll probably head that direction at the same time we head to the Yagudo castle and the mines.
yeah i also think we are the harbingerOriginally Posted by NeoReign
If you compare the Beastmen Armies to the Allied forces, the Beastmen win by a long shot... (they kinda already do in campaign xD)
so without us traveling back in time and helping the allied forces we would have been living in the world depicted in Dynamis... (making dynamis the true fate of vanadiel o.O)
I think the Monastary has already fallen. In Sandoria you get hints that a company of knights was already smashed by the Orcs. A company of 300 Knights came to the aid of an Elvaan Outpost where the Monastary sits. The Elvaans underestimating the Orcs numbers and strength were killed to the last man.Originally Posted by Tarage

haha.. thats the thing with time travel... this "what would have been if xx didnt happen" world never existed in the first place since we traveled back in time to fix it... but why would we need t travel back if it never existed? >.>Originally Posted by Ferien
I make sense of seeing it as a shift of dimensions, or alternate realities >.> but of course its still confusing
But seeing as FFXI does mention DImensions(al taieu's fate) i think Cait Sith's Present is an alternate dimension than ours.... GAH... i was trying to go somewhere but i confused myself xD
stupid Time paradoxes ; ;
Also: abotu La Vaule, i dont think it was taken yet... we might just be there helping via Campaign... when they open it![]()
Are the ages of our characters ever stated? I wonder if "influence on the future" opens up the possibility that we'll be interacting with our past selves as children and influencing who we become in the future.
Of course, this sets off a massive time paradox if you go to the past and tell yourself to not become an adventurer, and you never grow up to defeat the Shadow Lord, The Zilart, Promathia, Alexander, etc...
Though, i suppose, if you told yourself to never become an adventurer, you'd never go back in time as an adventurer to tell yourself to not become an adventurer so you would grow up and do all those things, then come back in time to tell yourself...
I think La Vaule has been taken (would be kinda rude not giving the Orcs a stronghold, although they do have their Imperial capital in the north), but the reason those homes are there is because the Orcs haven't had the time to completely have it fit their tastes.
The Far East was rather prominent in CoP and was a central plot point in ToAU, and look what happened. I'm guessing Far East > Far South/Tsahya > Far North or West.Somewhat unrelated note, but Tsahya is mentioned like every other sentence in Windurst's story, and was hinted at a couple times in ToAU. It's probably going to be the focus of the next expansion.
I'm guessing we're under 20. Maybe it's left for the player to decide, since some models (namely ElvF8A) look like they could be 40+.Are the ages of our characters ever stated? Or you would say "What does that stinky adventurer know, I'm going to be the best adventurer possible just to spite him/her."Originally Posted by Kkel

The Far East and Far South are prominent so far in Windurst, oddly enough. Or perhaps it was Near East... either way both Gariri and Maju-Naju talk about Far Eastern Tomes which they're translating, and since Gariri summons Ifrit (well Flame Giant) it leads me to believe mayhaps the Easterners knew about Summoning before we did? Would also explain the Yagudo, no?Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
I'm pretty sure Fort Karugo has already been besieged by the anti-magic unit, seeing as Bastok and Sand'Oria have already lost their main areas.(Grauberg Guntower and La Vaule) Plus, Fort Karugo started out under Beastman control, unless that's just a 'lolcampaign/SE' loophole.
Heh. Well, its impossible to become one's own direct parent due to the fact that its impossible to replicant one's self. The 50% DNA split with the other party involved sort of ruins that. What if we haven't been concieved yet, fall for a dashing guy/gal in the past and end up becoming our own mother/father?
You could, however, pull a Fry and become your own grandparent.
I was wondering about Fort Karugo myself. The NPCs in Windy talk about it like it's in it's prime, i expected it to be a hive of activity. When i got there is was just a single NPC and a huge Beastman flag. None of the, what i think are, teleporters worked. It didn't look like it was besieged, but it certainly didn't look like the great, powerful, TaruTaru encampment it's been played up to be.
I'd question the plasibility of real world genetics in the world of FFXI.Heh. Well, its impossible to become one's own direct parent due to the fact that its impossible to replicant one's self. The 50% DNA split with the other party involved sort of ruins that.
