Heh. Well, its impossible to become one's own direct parent due to the fact that its impossible to replicant one's self. The 50% DNA split with the other party involved sort of ruins that.

This is true, why are the Taru so proud of the fort if it's been run over by Yagudo?

The Far East and Far South are prominent so far in Windurst, oddly enough. Or perhaps it was Near East... either way both Gariri and Maju-Naju talk about Far Eastern Tomes which they're translating, and since Gariri summons Ifrit (well Flame Giant) it leads me to believe mayhaps the Easterners knew about Summoning before we did? Would also explain the Yagudo, no?
Well, Tenzen knows a good amount of stuff about the (terrestrial) avatars, so it seems possible. It's also possible that's why (to discuss summoning magic) they wanted to originally meet with the Tarutaru (according to the Windy timeline), but instead were shunned and allied with the Yagudo (although their pact with the Shadow Lord seems to have destroyed their relationship with the Far East).
If it's Near, somewhat possible because of the prominence Alex, Odin, and Ramuh have had there, but they don't really seem to know much about actually summoning.

Summoning's a forbidden art, anyways. Besides, only someone as diabolical as Carbuncle would actually want to awaken the sleeping gods. I still don't trust the little guy, ever since he turned on me in Waking the Beast.

Only is forbidden in Windurst because the Star Sibyl went all emo after Karaha decided to become a martyr. Other cultures probably have a different opinion on the matter.

    Re: WotG Storyline Discussion (Spoilers)

The emptiness is still existing in the Far East correct?

What if Cait Sith's realm is a portion of the emptiness that has been reclaimed and put under control of the goddess? It seems like a area thats seen issues, but the fact that on the horizon you can see a sun rising (or to be fair, setting too) might suggest that its an area thats been turned away from the corruption of the emptiness only recently. Cait Sith might be someone/thing sent to make sure that that specific area remains under the control of the goddess and recruited you accordingly.

I too, think that WotG might tie up a lot of the "questions" that exist from RoZ and CoP, and link ToA to the issues that have been the focus on the middlelands for so long. Maybe well eventually see images of Luzaf from his days in Bastok as a student? Or how Tavnazia ties into Alexander and the Gordius, ect ect ect.

Sadly, Luzaf died around 180 years before the Crystal War.

I have a question: Why doesn't Tavnazia or Jeuno seem to helping? Tavnazian army gets categorized under San d'Oria? Jeuno has no real army yet? They're busy in other areas?
    Or am I missing something?

Since when was Luzaf a student in Bastok?
The kingdom's prince, Luzaf, received the news of his nation's demise on the return trip from his studies in Bastok.

Id imagine well see more of the Jeunoan Armada (their airship fleet, right?) if/when we get acces to Jeuno [S]. Kam'Lanaut has already been mentioned, so the Zilart brothers are doing something. Id imagine Tavnazia and Jeuno's involvement will come further down, as they were focus points to what we already know about the Crystal War.

And I didn't really mean Luzaf in the flesh, but maybe more as a spirit form or something attached to Odin. Cor Relic quests? Cor AF+1 quests? They could do a number of things if the ties between Odin, Luzaf, and Raorgrimm are there.

The Zilart brothers are basically the reason the other three nations banded together. Jeuno 50 years before WotG was still a tiny fishing town, so they probably don't have much of an army, and the brothers are probably more concerned with tinkering with Delkfutt's than the actual war, as long as their agenda is safe.

Eh, there's still an extremely low chance in replicating yourself that way.

Well, as part of the (gag)Sandy quests, Jeuno is expairamenting with airships, so I'm sure they aren't simply a 'fishing village' anymore. I suspect when we get access to Jeuno, we will learn more. That and I doubt Jeuno would actually have an army visible, since you can't exactially allign yourself with Jeuno. NPC vs NPC isn't very fun to watch if you can't participate, so no Jeuno conquest.

So we have two suspicious characters (maybe a third?) involved in the nation quests. We already have a name for the first (Sandy Griffon quest, can't spell name at the moment). The second involves the Windurst Tigress quest, which two Yagudo briefly mention. There's also many mentioned NPCs that will be influential in the coming missions/quests. I wonder if any of the future NPCs have changed their dialogue to reflect past events (Such as Ajido, Excenmille, Rahal, etc). I know that SE made quests that you have to be in the future to complete.

I need to do the Bastok quest/mission now, sounds interesting. I am really interested in the wrapped-taru War Warlock, probably because I chose Windurst as allegiance nation...and he used AM2-ga.

OH! The final spell that he used on the Yagudo, is it confirmed what it may be? I wonder if it could be a new BLM spell :O Oh wait...

Someone earlier mentioned he also casts Ultima, so there's two potential spells being introduced (depending on what the unspecified one ends up being). But, while I haven't seen the CSs for Windurst, I'm going to go ahead and guess that they won't be PC-castable anytime soon, if ever.

    Re: WotG Storyline Discussion (Spoilers)

We won't see any jeunoean airship fleet. Airships were developed during the war and the first ones were finished around the time of the siege of Castle Zvahl. Because they were so new and valuable, they were never used in battle.
The Airship fleet was constructed when the war was already over. Officially airships have only civil usage and Jeuno is keeping away the technology from the other nations. The only non-jeunoean Airship is the one Cid covertly developes during CoP missions.

I wonder if there is going to be a falling out between Excenmille and Rahal at some point, given that in the future Excenmille seems to follow his fathers footsteps and becomes a DRG and Rahal becomes a Dragon Slayer.

Probably not as much of a falling out as between Rahal and.. what's his face.
