Take a lv99 cap synth. How does the HQ rate of this item differ for someone who is lv100+6 vs. lv97+6?

It's basically tier'ed, so you'll get the same HQ rate (and NQ and fail rates as well) as long as you're in a specific tier.
I see this topic going downhill really fast.
That's not what I'm asking. What I'm curious is how your base skill affects the HQ rate when you can technically have a higher crafting skill than the cap (using +crafting gear/support), with your base skill still below the cap. Dont tell me 31 levels above the cap will give me 30%, I dont care. I dont want theories, has anyone with more crafting experience found that 97+6 vs. 100+6 crafting skill give the same HQ rate on something that is lv99 (yes you'd be skilling up as lv97+6). thank you.Originally Posted by vegetaa
Base skill isn't relevant. What's taken into account is your total skill (including the GP items skill bonus). So in both case you're in the same tier, and your HQ rate is the same.
The person who will HQ it is either A: Gimp, B: Making it to make money or C: not you, is the correct answer.Originally Posted by Mizunos

You wont have any different in the synthing Tier... You may however be assisting someone in skilling up... A lot of people dont use Synth support unless they are making something that puts them over the tier anyways. I know I don't touch it unless im doing something that needs a few extra levels to break the tier....Originally Posted by Skeetaru
Funny thing is, it's EXACTLY what you're asking, and the answer is in the reply. I've gone ahead and bolded it for you so that you may come to understand.Originally Posted by Mizunos
Question was answered in the first reply. Next time read more carefully, or do some looking because the exact same question has been asked many times before.
