last time we had an avoid gears floor, the brd and ninja w/ ranged that usually pull those gears both got penalties... i dont know if they changed it or was just a unlucky day or what.

Fanatic's drink is great but when you start doing 60, 80 and 100 floors probably the best item that saves a fuckton of time is Cleric's Drink. Cerberus Utilation (Aoe para), Hydra's Paralyze, and Khimaira's Fossilizing Breath (Petri) are the main reasons for bringing Cleric's Drinks into 60, 80, 100 floor bosses. Seriously these have saved us wins in the past. AOE erase to all debuffs is killer (but watch out it can be paralyzed).Originally Posted by ASG
Maybe other people have already done this but I found it pretty amusing. Floor 40 yesterday was Fafnir, so we all popped Fanatics and split 2 people in front and 2 people on tail and flailed him 4 times before they wore. I never knew it had a knockback effect.![]()
Does the person with the armband have to use their disk?
Basically, I have a floor 100 disk but I've finally run out of tokens. So, we're going to start a new disk, but I'd still like to lead the assault to get the token bonus. Is it possible for me to start the assault and have someone else choose floor 1?
Yes.Originally Posted by Xerlic
We often do this when farming tokens for our main disc holder. He gets the armband, but I'll use my disk @15 or 35. That way he gets the tokens bonus from the armband.Originally Posted by Devinry
This past weekend my group ran into three straight ridiculously hard 35-40 runs, first run had 2 sequence lamps, 2nd run had 2 straight floors of flayers, 3rd run had the mother of all floors: STR down pathos, All enemies, do not destroy gears. Mobs on map included 4 triple gears, Valkurm Emperor, 2x Mousse, a few other mobs(Perytons I think)...and a fucking Dahak...there were at least 8 regular mobs in addition to the Dahak, I wasn't even aware that that was possible. Floor took 12-15 minutes, we timed out w/ turtle @ 10% on 40.
The only thing we noticed different from any other day was that the Astral Candy was lost, just wondering if anyone else has tried it w/ Candy gone and noticed Nyzul being any harder?
nothing worse than eliminate specific enemies which are soulflyer while you can use any white magic(yes, white magic). The bio wipe us =.=
well, our nyzul set took like 20 runs before we can clear for 95% of the time. It just need everyone with the experience and know what to do very well. Especially the lamp floor where we always call to turn on in same time by giving 3secs to reponse to do so.
talk about the lamp, does any one notice that for the order of lamp, for example if there are 4 lamps. Usually the 2nd and 3rd order won't show up even the person you assign is in the correct order? Sometimes i met some hard time when there are total of 5 lamps, and always getting the correct of order on last attempt of combination.
Has anyone else noticed that Simurgh in Nyzul is like, the most evasive mob in the game? With Gravity and Feint on, our melee (who are reasonably decked out, THF has Homam Body, for instance), were still whiffing. A LOT. If not for our BLM and myself nuking, we'd never have gotten to the boss on 100.
The real Simurgh is ~Lv60 and hard to hit, so the Nyzul upscale to 75 probably sends its evasion off the charts. :[Has anyone else noticed that Simurgh in Nyzul is like, the most evasive mob in the game?
I've done a few runs without the AC, I think even as recent as 1-2 weeks ago. Only reason things were harder for us is no refresh bonus for mages so MP was slightly tighter. SE just didn't like you, unfortunatelyOriginally Posted by Callisto
They're not discriminating though, cause they don't like my group most times either lol.

woo.
I was about to reply to your first post about Simurgh saying that Roc is super annoying too, and then saw this ^^; Had overlooked it when reading update notes yesterday. Last sunday we got close to timing out because of Roc, even though out melees are decked out too and I was giving them double madrigal >_> Even though we got a Dryad Staff off the appraisal so I guess we can't complain too much =DOriginally Posted by Priphea
How long do Fool's Drinks or other drinks last ?
Body boost lasts a while, at least 10+ min, Gnostic, assassin, and oracle is maybe 30s, dusty reraise is pretty short, maybe about 5 min,
Dumb question, but is Gates/Fulm/Nerve considered physical or magical damage? IE Fanatic's or Fool's.
I know barfira lessens goh, so I am thinking magic. When we do cerb or khim, your goal is always to stun the moves, so you don't really have an opportunity to test out shellra V vs shellra IV.
I'm usually on the back lines healing for these fights, but I'm pretty sure they're all physical moves. The general concensus among melees/tanks in our group is Body Boost/Fanatic's Drink > Fool's Drink.Dumb question, but is Gates/Fulm/Nerve considered physical or magical damage? Since the above poster called me out for not reading the whole question, yes it will be fanatic's, even if it's magical damage since it's a tp move. Similiar to chariot moves in salvage.Originally Posted by OctavoGilgamesh
Aight so Fanatic's. Thanks guys.
