To be honest, I love reading any argument that regards Puerto Rico and it's status. Definately a reason why I hate this nation sometimes. The US simply benefits from too much by having PR in a "colony" status, while PR is in a state of perpetual fuck ups and shadiness from their leaders. Props to you Kuya, for making great points.
Recently, due to some very lawlzy occurences, we have recently discovered there is a Puertorican citizenship, and a passport along with it. The US passport is standard. Apperently the thing was that, the original clause in the Foraker Act had stated the existence of the title "resident of Porto Rico" (the US temporarely changed the name of the island because they couldn't pronounce Puerto), and this part was never voided. So, therefore, you could still solicit a Puertorican citizenship and passport. I believe we found this out a year ago lol. And the clause was created in 1900 lol. Only problem is, there is no sovergn nation called Puerto Rico, so the whole thing is moot.Do they currently get PR or US passports?
