Sounds about right for Suteki, him and his buddies were the first 75 blu/pup/cor at about the same speed. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing them pl themselves with an outside party(brd/whm/rdm)

2) act like getting xp/lvls is hard

The typical reaction to things/progress others get done that you cant do/fathom yourselves is fairly consistent. Even a couple of friends who's schedule differ (one on during day while other at work, etc). But personally, only me and god is ever gonna know my PoL acc. info.

I think so. Reason I myself zerg jobs to 75, is that I get to experience end-game content with them, and get the lvl grind out of the way ASAP. Which I find the most fun, the things/events I can do as a lvl.75. Cant do Jack all as a DRG53, etc. Playing with the people I like to play with and have fun is great, and a DNC35 wont get any exposure at LS events. If they got it out of the way and can now enjoy it with thier ls-mates now, great.

In addition, they get to pioneer the discovery and methods of using the job. Intead of just reading about whatever and how others think it should be used or played.

Makes sense in a way. While sure, no life and all...he's probably able to give some good info on the job to the JP community at least. I could see playing in shifts to do that as well. There are worse ways to burn use-or-lose leave or whatever, assuming they have a job in the first place.

I would assume that whoever played it had fun being among the first outside of SE testing to try...er, first to actually see what the job abilities and high level spells do, etc. They're probably enjoying being the first to 75 on the server.

Waste of time? Sure. But that's FFXI in a nutshell anyway.
