Definitely, one of the best movies I've ever seen as well. The hype was well-deserved.

Think about SP3, and how disappointing it was when you finally saw beatnik Peter and Sandman's solioquy(sp) (that's what she said).

As someone else said, it got the dichotomy of Batman/Joker perfectly. Especially,

the last scene between them with the Joker hanging upside down, which btw was so perfectly shot.

I hope people watch Heath's other films. He's been giving performances like this his entire career (except, The Order and Ned Kelly suck).

It was almost like Batman's single superpower was altering his voice to sound like he was 6'7" and 300 lbs of muscle. That was my own complaint too, it was obvious that they enhanced his voice a lot, when they should have just had Bale speak in a slightly deeper voice as Batman.

And if that's the ONLY thing you can find wrong in a movie, it's definitely a VERY good thing. Bale is fucking Midas, the next Terminator might actually be a good movie thanks to him.

3 things i wanted in the movie.

1. when the batman first leaves he should have said "Because I'm the goddamn batman!"

2. Could have used more joker + cronies scenes

3. i wanted it to go on longer!

this raised the notch up to fucking 11.

I'm going to go pick up the joker books when i get more time to visit the book store. God damn i wana see this in the imax so bad.

Incredible movie. I had no clue of how long it was going to be when I went in, but it kept building to false climax after false climax, yet it managed to continue to keep getting better after each one. I wasn't expecting the Joker to have two completely at odds explanations as to how he got his Glasgow smile though. Was a nice subtle touch as to how completely unhinged he was.

Which is saying something. Iron Man captured "Iron Man" beautifully. I haven't seen TDK yet, but if it's that good a rendition, you're talking Iron Man (movie) - TDK vs. Iron Man - Batman....and Batman's just plain more awesome by an order of magnitude. If both did as good a job at creating the world inside the comics, Batman's going to be that much above anything else.

heath played the part amazingly and that is the best i can imagine the joker being. i love the different explanations of the smile...in the comics he never tells the same story twice:

Fucking awsome movie indeed, I dont think they could have done anything to make it better. My expectations going in where it to be an ok movie that I wouldnt mind wasting 5$ on, but damn, totally worth it. This blows the original out of the water. Could have used some ninjas though.

I read 18.5 mil just from last night's midnight shows alone. This should surpass the current weekend box office record of 151 million of Spider-Man 3. For comparison, the highest opening weekend this year so far is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull or Iron Man (depending on the source) which both hit just over 100 mil.
