I thought this was funny as hell in reference to the news of him getting arrested for assault.
Edit: All in all the movie was good though. I'd like to watch it again though because I'm sure I missed some key details the first time through.
Like others stated, the rough batman voice was a bit much... it was sort of hard to listen to him talk.
And I did die a little inside when he totalled the Lamborghini.
yea it's like 2 pages back....
sonofabitch just found it already posted on page 7. Obviously I fail at forums...
Loved the movie, one of he best comic book movies along with Beings. Those two movies transcend the comic book genre and just become an amazing movie.
However, Maggie Gylenhaal, or however you spell her name (the sad turtle), did not fit in that cast of super star actors. Heath made her stand out even more even when he wasn't on screen. She was really dull and didn't make me feel for her character at all. Katie Holmes fucked up when she didn't come back for this movie.
The Sonar was pretty retarded and put a hole in their vision of reality, but its a batman movie so whatever. Batman's voice was alright in small doses but dialogue fucked it up. Batman has to disguise his voice somehow, but guess he was tired of ordering custom shit for his helmet or whatever. The bike doing the twist thing was cool but hella cheesy.
Seriously? I thought Maggie was great. I couldn't connect with Katie Holmes. Even though Maggie did have a fudge face sometimes at bad angles and lighting, I really thought she was a much better actress.
Just watched it, one of the best movies this year.
Well that lat monologue with Gordon, he did get shot and fell down about 30 40 feet or so i think his voice would be a bit fucked up.
that was really the only part where it stood out for me
Saw it, loved it. I thought some of the groaner lines and some of the heavy-handed Two-Face foreshadowing were a bit much though. It almost completely divorced itself from comic book movie cliches... almost![]()
Maggie was pretty hot in The Secretary.
It was nice to see some less known but more talented people like her and Eric Roberts in the movie.
I saw it last night. Up until the pencil scene I was thinking "this is a really typical super hero movie" and that Heath LEdger wasn't doing as great a job as people were raving about but then BAM. My opinions changed instantly and I just sat there in a complete awe. Non-stop entertainment, and Ledger's performance really illustrated what I believed the joker would have been; a sadistic madman who only wished to see the world burn
IMO, she was not in TDK. Maybe it was makeup/camera, maybe she's just not all that attractive. Not ugly, per se, but just rather plain. She strikes me as looking older than she actually is, which (to me) detracted from her part in the movie. While she acted well, it felt odd that her character would have two of the most elegible bachelors in Gotham competing for her attention.Maggie was pretty hot in The Secretary.
I wouldn't say ugly. Too harsh, and considering most people are below average and look like mongoloids it's always ironic to have a mass discussion on whether someone is hot or not.
That being said, she looks ok with her hair down but yea, I don't find her attractive overall (again, wouldn't say she's UGLY but I'm just not attracted to her).
I actually though Katie Holmes was fine in Begins. The script was pretty lame but the acting was so great it elevated the cheese. It's just that Katie Holmes isn't on the same level as Bale or Caine or Neeson or Oldman, hence the cheese was more apparent.
She'd have benefitted from this script since it's so lucid and well-written.
I believe Gyllenhaal did a lot of work with Nolan to enhance the character in subtle ways and worked with him to improve it on a script level.
