You also have to think of it from a movie company standpoint. A big movie like this needs marquee names. Names of well-known actors draw crowds to sell extra tickets. Think of how many people will probably come to see this movie just to see Heath.

Ah, I'm blind. It was higher up on the page, but on youtube. I posted more quality! >.>
WHY SO SERIOUS!?
Wait, are people talking about Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill? Was he ever in consideration to play the Joker? Cause that would be a joker (hi2u sarah silverman type of joke).
After Star Wars, Hamill did a lot of voice acting, particularly as the Joker in the 1990s Batman animated series. :bagel:Originally Posted by Andarvi

who didnt?
Considering the joker's not exactly an extremely athletic type of villain and hamill's voice was/is the definitive joker voice (where most of its personality comes from, aside from the look which was going to be enhanced by prosthetics either way), I'm either going with you're crazy and/or woefully out of the loop. Anyway ledger looks like he's going to do the part some justice so it's not like I'm going to complain about a good show.Originally Posted by Andarvi
A combo of both of these considering my batman background is extremely minimal, which is crazy, thus leading to me being way way out of the loop. Did Hamdog only do voices during the 90s or did he have a more extensive role in the series? Would he really be good, you think?Originally Posted by Ryko
I'm with norelco in saying that we have no clue if he'd actually get down the mannerisms well (ledger spent a month in his hotel room working on changing his posture, working on the voice, and what not. I think he also kept a diary in the perspective of the joker, something I kind of wish I could see.) but hamill provided the voice of the joker in the DC Animated Universe for 14 years. His being older is of no consequence since it would have been heavy on the makeup.Originally Posted by Andarvi
