Any idea on how far we get demoted? Do you get demoted down to the base rank, or do you only return to your previous rank?

Demotion only goes down 1 rank no matter how bad you do.

However, changing allegiance drops you 2 rank...at least that's what I remember reading from NPC

Just wanted to add this in since I don't see it posted yet. I spent the past few days doing nothing but Campaign battles and Ops whenever I could. The most I received by trading in my Allied Tag during Campaign battles was 600 XP and AN but upon getting my Brass Ribbon last night, that cap has risen to 700 XP and AN. So it appears to be that with higher ribbons you can gain even more per tag turned in.

They stated that different mdels give different rewards. That Brass Ribbon gave +100 to cap, but others will have different effects probably.

not sure if it was really specified but considering the 30 day limit to a medal.. does that mean.. say you get your third medal.. does that reset the timer on the second medal? or will the second medal disappear and you have to reobtain it after the 30 days? wouldnt that limit you to 6 medals or so?

Be sure you're actively taking part of the WotG before going for an evaluation. I've had a few friends so far get rejected outright from a promotion, due to the fact they're barely participating in the content.

The npc I talked to in Windy about all of this mentioned that while you can participate in as many battles as you want, only one would count towards evaluation. Also considering someone posted that they only did like 3 battles, the only prerequisites might be a certain score in campaign. Which I am going to guess is not 600 as the most AN I ever got from any battle was closer to 450~500.

personally i feel that the expiry date medals are lame. it seems like a means to make sure that people keep doing it once their done trying each.. but there should be a better way to do this.. The fact that you can get demoted is good enough imo

also agree with ur point on the time when such content becomes old and fades into relative obscurity.

like.. I want to forever keep my medals.

well about the demotions and promotions:

maybe they'll integrate a who wants to be a millionaire safe point for each metal group..

say you finish a metal group, no matter what you can't get demoted from that point on, so when we get all metals, we can't get demoted, since it makes no sense because we won't be able to get promoted anymore.. idk. /shrug.. that would be cool though, and a load off our backs.

i don't really know who to talk to in windy, i'm guessing its a guy in a nobles tunic across from where you get Campaign Operations, thats how it is in bastok, and sandy the guy is near the zone. From what i know they all wear nobles tunics

as for the metals, you just do campaigns and you should get a rank up every 5 days if you stick on with it, you do get demoted if you don't do anything, thats pretty much it in a nut shell

OK update from my mule test. All I did with my mule is campaign ops for the past 5 days. No battles in the field at all. Failed the promotion. Therefore it looks like you have to do some form of battle to gain ribbons/medals.

From the descriptions rank 4 looks like the last. Unless they remove the "The most prestigious ribbon obtainable." from the 4th one I can't see them adding any higher ranks. Though maybe after the 4th ribbon you move onto stars, then emblems and so on. That way there'll be 20 total ranks.
