    Re: Medal/Award System

After you complete the ribbon category my guess would be you move on to the next group, which is uh... Stars, followed by Emblems, followed by Wings, and lastly Medals (which are classified as Decorations). All of these are currently in the DATs.

    Re: Medal/Award System

I also got my Allied Ribbon of Bravery §§§ today and had gotten it from just doing Campaign ops. I did one Campaign battle and scored 640/420. I've already done several Campaign battles since the upgrade so I won't be able to test if just doing Campaign ops works as well.

    Re: Medal/Award System

Ive done 6 successful Ops, no battles, and evaluation still doesnt approve.

What is the option you want to make sure you pick if evaluation declined, and you dont want to reset? End The Evaluation: you pick No?, and if 22 days still remain, all previous Ops are still being counted towards next time you try evaluation?

Edit: I dont see the reason to End Evaluation in general? Why would you end it if you still not done enough to rank up, Is it based on what you do per day..?

    Cross Posted:

People have kind of mentioned this in some ways, but here goes:

    So i tested something:

I had the Brass Medal (Rank 2), and all i did all week was Campaign Ops (no Campaigns - but i had done a lot before, 15k AN from just that).

I checked evaluation, they said I wasn't worthy, so i dc'd myself, did 1 campaign (bringing my total campaigns since last rankup to 1) and checked again and received Allied Ribbon of Bravery § § §.

So it seems it may be mostly based on Campaign Ops but there is a minimum number of Campaigns you must complete to rank up

    Hope this helps

Why dc'd yourself, cant you just pick no..?

I was not sure how it worked, i thought once you chose to be evaluated you could not get one for 5 days, but I could have been wrong

You don't have to d/c yourself. I attempted to get my first rank up and failed. Just choose to not end the evaluation, and you can do more campaign ops/etc towards your rank. I just checked once after every campaign ops, and I was approved after doing 2 more. :D

Man...I did tons of Campaign Battles (like 8k AN worth of Campaign battles after tele fees) and all the Campaign Ops I could do and went from a Brass Ribbon of Service $$ to an Allied Ribbon of Bravery $$$. Maybe you can only go up one rank per evaluation? Or it takes a huge amount to jump a rank? Anyone get a higher reward than this?

    Re: Medal/Award System

Actually -all- of the key items are classified as "decorations", not just the medals. I believe what that actually means is that, out of all 20 key items, that particular one is the very best (which makes sense, as it looks to be synonymous with the RL "Medal of Honor"). I am starting to think that the reason storyline missions were light at release is that they quite possibly released the entire campaign system all at once (unlike besieged). Or at least, all that we would have access to at this part of the war anyway. Next major update will probably be a whole bunch of storyline missions (and hopefully something besides shoes, teleports, and sigil worth spending notes on), once they've gotten most of the kinks worked out of the system.

Don't forget they still have Headhunting to add in as well.

    Re: Medal/Award System

    Might it be:
    1. Highest Campaign Battle AN earnings since last evaluation
    2. Average Battle AN earnings since last evaluation

    ???
It will be good if people can count what they did over the week and see if they get promoted/demoted/status quo...

    Re: Medal/Award System

Well, I do a few campaign OPs, maybe 5 or 6 per 5 day period, and I do ungodly amounts of Campaign, gotten about 3 merits, maybe 4 merits total in Campaign, I lost track.

I got Allied Ribbon of Glory last night, for Campaign Ops it says, but I doubt my Ops track record is better than my Campaign one, so yeah, I'd assume it's linear, with possible branching in the higher ranks.

I did one campaign ops and failed, and did about 10 campaign battles. Ranked up to Ribbon of Glorry. The description is super confusing

The NPC explains that you can only gain or lose a single rank through evaluation.

hello, can someone help me please, i've been doing Campaign for well over a week, and still on Bronze Ribbon of Service, used every Op Credit i recieved, gained 50,000 exp though battles, earned 40,000 AN and still nothing, spoken to every NPC in Bastok [S] zone and all i got was Annabelle to explain what the evaluation is, not who to speak to about it. ive probably missed something, but if you guys can help, that would be greatly appreciated.

    thank you

ninja edit! went off to a battle, came back and spoke to Annabelle and got the Evaluation, Brass Ribbon of Service! tho ive done so much and didnt speak to Annabelle until today, i know i could have got alot higher, oh well, next evaluation in 5 days.

Looks like you need to talk to Annabelle in Bastok markets [S] (F-8). Needs verification, however its a NPC near the "auction house" area that wears a noble tunic. Talk to them, ask for evaluation. Wait 5 days (while doing campaign actions between days) and then you 'may' rank up.

    Re: Medal/Award System

I talked to the evaluation NPC last night, after having only done a few (maybe 3 or so) campaign battles and no ops. He told me I wasn't worthy and wanted to rip the ribbon right off my chest. I told him to hold his horses, and went and did a couple campaign ops. Then he said that I could keep my ribbon, but wasn't good enough for a promotion. So I went and did another campaign op and a campaign battle and made Rongelouts proud.

    Re: Medal/Award System

After Ribbons, I ranked up to Stars. I would guess it's just straight down the list. Ribbons -> Stars -> Emblems -> Wings -> Medals.
