    Windower post update?

    Recently after the update today my windower has an excess use of space to the right and to the bottom of it. By excess i mean its just some random dead pixels, like a fair amount to be noticeable. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. Also i tried to upload a picture but photobucket wants to be gay.

    Wonder if that is to make up for the pixels taken up by the windows border of the program?

    Sure it was a meaningful post, it lets people know that not everyone is seeing this issue.

    I, too, am not seeing it.

    I am not having this problem either, but my friend is. The only differences are that I currently do not have WotG installed so I haven't recieved the update post installation, she has. I also run my computer with vista while she uses XP. I'd post a picture but it's identical to the ones above.

    I had the same thing. Check to see if the "start in windowed mode" or w/e box in the FFXI config thingy is checked. I unchecked it and it ran just fine.

    Checked it myself, this is the solution.

    Re: Windower post update?

    Just out of curiosity, are people who are having problems the ones that used that pre-typed up registry file to install WotG?

    Probably not relevant <.<

    Not at home so I'm not sure if I'm going to have the same problem or not, but are you thinking it has something to do with Overlay and Background resolution settings? Those are in the registry so I imagine some bad values copied over might be causing the display hiccup.

    [edit]
    I didn't use any pre-typed registry file, I copied it myself.

    That's what I was thinking, but since it didn't actually edit your current FF registries and just created a new fake EU one to trick the installer into installing, and the fact that it's only happening now, makes me think it's really unlikely that's the case.

    This is also happening to me with SE's windowed mode, so it seems they gone and broke it.

    Re: Windower post update?

    Well, here's a suggestion to see if this has anything to do with the problem:

    Get Mog Toolz --> http://themogtoolz.free.fr/

    Pick a mode/resolution/etc, and run the launcher from there and see if you still have the problem.
