SE windower works fine for me, but the other windower won't, I had the same problem with the bottom of the windower, unchecked "start in windowed mode" and it works fine, but now I can't maximize the window :/

Yeah, I should have thought of that sooner.Originally Posted by Julian

Sorry to derail, but FFXI does not come with a freakin' "windower." It has the option to run in windowed mode. There's a huge difference. Windower is a 3rd party app that enables windowed mode and adds a plug-in architecture to enhance and alter the way FFXI works. Using the check box in FFXI to run in windowed mode is not Windower.Originally Posted by Hwang

I had this problem before any WotG patch but it only comes in spurts, and mine is easily fixable by relogging. I do however have a problem when 2boxing post update with the 2nd account I open, I cant move the cursor up and down to chose delivery box, change job, etc. It moves side to side just fine, but not up and down >_>. Anyone else have a problem like this?
Does it really matter, shit...
Just did a file check and tried to update my drivers. Nothing wrong with either.

Way to completely miss my point
Well i sorted my problem, ya'll have fun now
i have my windower in window mode. While i didn't have issues with pixels i did have issues trying to maximize the screen. I fixed it by right clicking the tool bar.
Hello everyone,
My problem is that I get an error message when I try logging on via my windower. Playonline starts then crashes. This happened right after the update. Was curious if anyone was experiencing this problem?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I think he meant that arguing about what we call the SE one is pretty stupid.
I had the same thing. Crashes at the accept/decline screen. Been away a week though (and at work right now) but yeah, there are some people having this problem. I'm running windower 3.3 on vista, and with my love for vista I'm all for blaming it on that pos os.Originally Posted by krystalkat
Maybe you have a plug-in autoloading causing the crash? (recast maybe).Originally Posted by Alistaire
removed that and mine works fine now, can also just move the Error Report thing that pops up to a corner of the screen and not worry about it.Maybe you have a plug-in autoloading causing the crash? (recast maybe).
Damn this sucks mine looks really jacked up.
On my PCs in my house, I run Windower 3.3 on two of them, and 3.24 on another. On all three, I cannot maximize the window to full-screen. By default, I have windower resolution (in the ini file) set to 1024x768.
So this issue seems to have affected past windower versions too. If it means anything, I don't run in widescreen mode (all the PCs are standard). Figured that I see some people with widescreen monitors are seeing the problem, but their windower appearance looks different.
I had the border thing go funky on mine awhile back when running windower. Problem with mine was some conflict or something with Windowblinds, a skin program for windows. Went into its settings, told it to ignore ffxi for per-application skinning, and the problem disappeared.
So...if you're running a theme application, skinning thing, etc., you might have the same problem I did. Just go into the setup and tell it to ignore ffxi's window if it lets you. Otherwise...dunno![]()
I did have recast on, so how do I remove that?Originally Posted by ShinseiRyu
In your windower folder there is a scripts folder, inside that folder is a init.txt.Originally Posted by Alistaire
Inside the init.txt file look for "load recast" (without the quotes)
and put a // in front of it, so inside the txt file it'll look like this
//load recast
Edit: it also seems that if you do the hide-borders option with windower the nov28 update problem doesn't occur.
Mine is doing this too, and I never had "Run in Windowed Mode" checked to begin with.![]()
