Playstation 2 games

I've had a PS2 for years but the last game I played on it was FFX/GTA. I have the urge to buy some games for it. What are some must-have games for the ps2?

There's a game called Search. Works really well.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
-There's one shitty plot twist, but on the whole the game is pretty good, and the battle system is excellent.
Kingdom Hearts (And if you like it a lot, Kingdom Hearts II)
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.
Zone of the Enders 2.

There's tons more, but I can't think right now.

There are so many it's hard to think of them all right away- but a couple I thought of besides those mentioned above that I'm pretty fond of are Disgaea and Odin Sphere. There is some slow down on some stages in Odin Sphere, but the game is beautiful and I really enjoyed it.

I'm also very in love with Tales of the Abyss right now, but I'm just a big Tales of series fan.

Smackdown vs Raw 2007 (yes I'm serious, the AI is incredibly boneheaded, but it's a great multiplayer game. My verdict is still out on the 08 one that was released a few weeks ago, the PS2 version doesn't have online play)

Shadow of the Colossus is one of my favourite PS2 games. It is beautiful to look at and plays really well.

Oh come on! Fan or not, Fire Pro was the best game of its kind on the SNES! Only took... about 9 years for it to make it back over to the US -.- NOSTALGIA!

Depending on how you define genre that is.

edit: Valkyrie Profile 1 is for PS1 and PSP, Wild Arms 1 and Tony Hawk 1 and 2 were for PS1 but got rereleased/ported at some point.

I would recommend playing both Valkyrie Profiles, however. The English PS1 version is impossible to find now, but emulation works if you don't have/want to get a PSP.

Okami is an excellent game. Ratchet and clank series. Tony hawks fuck yes! Shinobi is a bad ass game if you can stand it.

of course i didn't mean literally, the point i was trying to make was that since there is good games on ps2 for just about any genre, it might be productive for him to name them. Its like saying 'is there any good food at the supermarket?'
