Hmmm maybe on your server the NPCs have no problems controlling the strongholds, but it's damn near tied for Eldieme, and Windurst is just getting around to pushing the Beastmen back down in Garlaige.

(Only Windurst has their "Jeuno stronghold" too, Eldieme and CN are Beastmen)

    Bastok: Rolanberry, Crawlers Nest, Pashow
    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2066/sandorianw1.jpg
San'Doria : Jugner, Batallia Downs, Eldieme Necropolis
    http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/5312/windurstcl0.jpg
Windurst : Sauromugue, Garlaige Citadel (they don't own Meri Mountains).

Sandy will own Eldieme Necropolis and owns Battalia Downs and Jugner.

Windy struggling but at least owns Garlaige and Sauromugue Champaign.

Bastok is missing all 3 core zones, and barely able to hold onto Grauberg at times. 2 hours nothing and 3 attacks at once after everyone had got tired of waiting. (Shadowhand, Qulun Hardshells/Headhunter and one easy lot). I've seen Pashow and rolanberry down to ~115/150 on numerous occasions but 30 mins later are back to 150/150 every time.

It's not that we aren't trying, but you can clearly see how 1 sided it is.

I'm not arguing with you about how the Quadav are overpowered or w/e, because I'm not dumb and I realize there's some sort of balance issue. I'm just saying you shouldn't use this "They hold Jeuno strongholds w/o PC intervention" because it may true for your server, but we've lost Eldieme, CN, and were close to losing Garlaige WITH PC intervention.

Yes I do agree with your Rocl, each server is different and YMMV. I just wanted to show the complete 1 sidedness on my server, which truly illustrates what some members here are trying to say.

considering Windurst is going to lose Garlaige, I really don't see where you're getting "one sided". 3 zones missing versus 2 zones missing? considering how much more populous windy is bound to be than bastok I don't really see how that proves anything.

And the allies are going to win the war. Considering that we already know what's going to happen, Wings of the Goddess is a total bust. I want my $29.99 back, and I want to instead travel to the Mithran homeland in the south and participate in that lucrative slave trade I've been hearing so much about in my head.

I'm talking about how the Beastman's influence bar is completely full compared to windy's at like 25%, lay off the cocaine.

So San'Doria with 3 occupied zones, Windurst with 2 occupied zones, and 25% on 1 other zone, Vs 0% for Bastok's 3 zones no matter how hard we battle we can't even scratch the surface is balanced to you?

Ok, clearing this up: Windy is going to lose Garlaige because cmap updates today, putting them, on your server, with only one of the three zones you're talking about.

San d'Oria is doing best, Windurst is in second, and Bastok is last by a mile. Yeah I've never seen this pattern before. It's a shame no one nagged SE into nerfing the last event into Bastok's favor, you could've been a contender.

Re: Campaign Mobs: OMG DID YOU HEAR QUADAVS ARE HARD?

    You're missing the point.

San'Doria has a fighting chance to win over zones whether PCs show up or not. PCs will notice a difference if they show up.
Windurst has a fighting chance to win over zones whether PCs show up or not. PCs will notice a difference if they show up.
Bastok has no chance at all despite PCs and/or NPCs turning up to fight. Even with San'Doria and Windurst aiding in battle there is no chance of making a dent in the beastmen's influence. No matter who shows up you cannot make a difference.

Probably because Bastok is trying to capture like 2 or 3 different forts from fully buffed beastmen? Capturing a zone is hard, period, even from the Yagudo and Orcs. I already conceded that the NPC AI is too retarded to be the sole deciding factor in a win or loss for an attack, I'm not sure what you want here.

Re: Campaign Mobs: OMG DID YOU HEAR QUADAVS ARE HARD?

You are correct, NPCs should not be the sole determining factor, however fully buffed units and leaders shouldn't be hitting for 0 either 90% of the time, which leads to my point that NPCs and PCs both have absolutely no effect on those 3 areas, no matter how many are present nor their country affiliation. How many San'Dorian NPCs hit for 0 most of the time, and get slaughtered every time they attack before even reaching the fortress? Same question for Windurst. The answer for Bastok is - all of them (maybe excepting the ranged unit which I've yet to see last any longer than the others).

edit : NPCs attacking and destroying the fortification accounts for the majority of influence in the area. If the NPCs can never even reach the fortification because they can't kill the mobs around it, with or without PC help, then it will never be possible for Bastok to control those regions.

The issue I and some others have is strictly the defense of the Quadav, which directly prevents our NPCs from doing anything at all in those areas. Directly preventing Bastokans also from being able to influence those areas.

Re: Campaign Mobs: OMG DID YOU HEAR QUADAVS ARE HARD?

It was already said before, back on page 1, before the stupid "Bastok is teh suck and you deserve it" discussion started.

NPCs are completely unable to deal with Diamond shell. This is a fundamental flaw in the campaign NPC AI system and a gaping hole in campaign as a whole, to make the majority of NPC forces of one nation useless.
And i might add that many players seem to be unable to deal with Diamond shell too.

Bastok regular troops are about the gimpiest I've ever seen. No joke. They need some more good-old-fashioned Warriors to hack through the turtles. Where's the old-school Galka beatdowns? I keep expecting to see squads toting Great Axes and Swords, but most Bastok units (save the dual-sword RDMish types) tend to be gun squads that may as well be spitting at the beastmen most days. Besides, some Break WS'es might actually make a dent, never mind stuff like Steel Cyclone.

Either that, or get your regulars better ammo. Copper bullets are weaksauce.

Re: Campaign Mobs: OMG DID YOU HEAR QUADAVS ARE HARD?

The area's Quadev occupy are simply area's in the present no-one really gives a damn about considering they are usually always BST controlled.

I do agree with the difficulty Bastok is having compared against Windurst and San'Doria which has ease defending off Orcs and Yagudo. There is a point to Quadev actually meant to be that strong and difficult as their description describes they are probably the best armored and well structured beastmen armies, I'm not denying they are over-powered but considering it might be how SE intended Quadevs to be, more of a challenge(but there isn't any as everyone gets destroyed fighting them).
I am however really disappointed with the strength of Orc and Yagudo, and Conqueror Bakgodek being a complete joke in strength, if he had the attack speed and Orcish Counterstance move as Overlord Bakgodek in present, that would be a different story to fight. The fights are generally over within a few minutes and usually running away, which leads me to the possibility that SE will make further adjustments to match Yags and Orcs with the same strength as Quadevs or increase their Morale and Prosperity build times making them much more frequent and longer attacks.

I thought Campaign was supposed to be a challenge and struggle for all three nations, but it just so happens it's Bastok Onry that are facing defeat by the strong Quadevs. I don't think it has anything to do with their NPC's or there past or lack of players helping that leads to Quadevs maintaining that strength and stranglehold over the areas, it seems their regeneration of Quadev/morale/prosperity are at a very high rate making them recover to maximum after every attack or their low ranks are defeated, compared to Orcs and Yag who have minimal recovery rates making them extremely easy to defend from.

How about instead of complaining about the dumb mobs we complain about how campaign is total shit since they changed it.

It's definitely an issue which has been raised in the other campaign discussion thread. However it is not the only issue which is why this thread exists. Anyone from Bastok who has been fighting an unwinnable battle in the 3 zones surrounding Jeuno certainly feels frustrated with both issues which I expect to be patched soon. Not only being unable to attack the zones frequently but when we do attack we lose any minor advantage we may have had.
