2007 Spike Video Game Awards (lol)

I like how Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare beat BioShock as Best Shooter, but wasn't even nominated for Game of the Year, which BioShock won.

COD4 is much more of a shooter then Bioshock. First round through Bioshock, I hardly ever shot (guns), mostly plasmids and wrench whacking. Does seem to contradict at first though.

Pretty sure when they say "Best Shooter" they mean best game that is in this genre rather than best game reenactment of shooting a gun.

I would chalk it up to insanity/stupidity rather than a different reason. Too much Mountain Dew does that to people.

Their award, they can interpret however they want. In any case, I like how they done it. Too many great games this year, and most of them won in something instead of letting one just take over the entire list.

I guess I just "don't get" the whole Mario thing. I thought the game was alright, but I cannot see how anyone can even consider it a possibility for game of the year.
