    Does not compute.
That doesn't compute! So we'll change basketball to football. It now computes!

Edit: Wait, that still doesn't compute, you stay til your a junior anyway in football. God dammit. Fuck my argument. But I'm sure you understood the point.

Goofy looking white kids don't leave college early for the NBA tyche, what were you thinking.

But seriously, Tyler doesn't strike me as the type to leave early. Small-town kid, cares about his team and likes the coach and such. One thing I do know is if he does stay a 4th year and doesn't get injured or anything, hes gonna break every record there is. He is currently 2nd all time scoring for UNC (thats including people that have played 4 years, only behind phil ford), and many other records.

Which makes me wonder if Kevin Love will leave. I really think he'll bomb far worse than hansbrough in the NBA.

I should also note that after watching tashaun prince his entire collegiate career, i said he'd bomb. He's too small, too lanky, not strong enough. Lol @ me.

Similar to curry, I'm not sure why anyone worth their salt would think he'd leave early, hes just too tiny.

@Doofus: It's hard to believe you really are a college BB fan if you don't know where Beasley plays or who Noah is.

Anyway, to me the decision to go pro is pretty clear: If you are going to be a lottery pick then you have to go. It is absolutely idiotic to stay another year and risk having your value drop, or even disappear with an injury. Although I like forcing players to play at least a year to make the college talent better, I still am against the rule.

I think if a person is able to play in the NBA right from high school and a team is willing to hire them then they should be able to do it. It is unfair for them to give the NCAA's free labor for at least a year, making millions for the school they play for and for the NCAA without reimbursement, and risking injury or drop in value.

You can dig back in the NFL threads, and I swear I said, almost verbatim...

"Why anyone would take Adrian Peterson is beyond me, he isn't outstanding in college, plays against small players, get injured and stays out. He's simply not ready..."

While I was sort of right, I was much much more incorrect.

I think Curry is too small to be successful as a SG in the NBA too but I really think if he's going to try to get into the NBA that he should do it this year. Right now he's the shit but next year he's not going to be shit when he's no longer a surprise to other teams and his school doesn't make it out of the first or second round.

He better practice his ball handling and passing because he's not going to have a chance unless he can convince teams that he can convert to PG.

Hold this in your pocket til next season. Matt Ryan will be outstanding.

Akiyama, I can make you the most successful GM ever. We'll go in it together. I'll tell you who will bomb, and you draft them. We'll dominate for years.

You might have a future career as GM of the New York Knicks.

Byrd, I think you are most correct. Maybe then Tyche can go help the Detroit Lions out. I hear they need a new WR.

    2008 NCAA National Championship:

    Memphis - 79

    Kansas - 73

    There, I said it.

I'd say twenty more years until Isiah quits since he's not going to be fired.

So Marquette's old coach is IU's new head coach. Guess those Bruce Pearl rumors mean nothing now.

I heard about it on PTI this afternoon. IU got a pretty damn good coach.

    You can't be serious...

Did you not see him squeeze through about an 8 inch gap between 2 KU defenders with an inhumanly smooth behind the back as he slipped sideways and... yeah.

Not to mention the like 8 or 9 nba 3's dropped with people all up in his face throughout the tournament...

Sure, the team might fall off and he might not have quite the level of name as he has right now, but as long as he doesn't get hurt he's going to the NBA, he's going to be set for life (provided intelligent investing of course), and, he just might come back and win an NCAA title at a mid-major.

I don't think any Big Ten team is going to hire Bruce Pearl ever given his history with Iowa/Illinois. Indiana, especially now after the Sampson fiasco, is not going to take in any baggage for sure.

    Re: NCAA Basketball 2007-2008

If Memphis continues to play possessed, they're national champs, winning by double digits both games. UCLA is the only team I can't see winning it all. They've had too many mediocre, unconvincing wins this season. I can't see them winning these last 2 games, regardless of the potential final opponent. And since this is my only bold prediction in this post, I await being proven wrong by the games. '-'

I could, however, see KU or UNC beating Memphis, but picking that East-Midwest National Semifinal is impossible to do with any respectable amount of confidence. Roy Williams is the best coach in college basketball for transition scoring, but I feel like KU is slightly more athletic. Arthur/Jackson can (relatively) shut down Hansbrough, but it's hard to say if they will, or if holding him from 25/12 to 15/7 will be enough. I think now that Bill Self has finally made the Final Four, KU will play a bit more comfortably than they did against Davidson. No heavy-favorite likes to play a game like that; so, by some fucked-up barometer for worrying, UNC is a more comforting opponent than Davidson.

I'll go with KU over UNC and then Memphis, thanks to some big shooting from Chalmers and... their blue uniforms.

    Score guessing for fun:
    Memphis - 87
    UCLA - 75

    Kansas - 79
    UNC - 71

    Kansas - 85
    Memphis - 80
