Really really good game so far. Padgett is keeping Hibbert in check, but Hibbert is keeping Padgett in check. Hell of a defensive game, just wish UL would be a bit smarter on the passing.

In the ACC home court advantage isn't as big as other places(unless its clemson playing in the dean dome(UNC), which they haven't won there in the past 53 tries lol, which is a national record), every team shows up capable of winning.
UNC has Ty Lawson back(star point guard we didn't have for both of our losses this year including duke), and I think that will really help us, and thomas has sorta stopped fumbling around out there, and started to play. Danny green and ellington have really stepped up on the 3-ball so I think we have a decent shot at winning, we are #1 in the nation for a reason lol.

Duke has been fumbling lately, so we'll see. But if hansbrough gets the ball, and lawson shows up to play duke doesn't have a chance in hell.

I thought the NCAA defined (says Sportscenter) the rule as something along the lines of.. "The ball shall be out of bounds if the ball passes over the top of the backboard, in any direction." And the refs were saying it went over the corner (or around the side) of the backboard, which is very debatable.

Furthermore, UCLA has trailed in 77 minutes of their last 80 minutes of basketball. Yes, I know they're 2-0 in those 80 minutes (with perhaps questionable officiating), but if I were a UCLA fan, I would be worried given it's now the tournament time of the year.


Of course, optimisitic UCLA fans could say their team is more tested for close games than other teams... '-'

This is correct. The shot was an illegal shot and should have been called as out of bounds and the basket not allowed. The ball passed over the top corner of the backboard. The ball can bounce on the top, side or bottom of the backboard but once it crosses that plane it should be considered out of bounds. Seemed like a fairly obvious call and the ref under the hoop was at a perfect angle to make that call, looked like he kinda choked on the whistle because he was frozen in amazement that it actually went in.

Anyhow, ya win some you lose some. Dont expect UCLA to win it all, I wont even be picking them for the final four.
