The call was bullshit I remember Larry Bird hitting one from behind the backboard way cleaner than that UCLA guy and it was called OOB. Although that was in the NBA, but still I figured they'd be similar rules (which they are). UCLA squeaks by again don't pick them past the Sweet 16 people.

I wish I would have stayed at the sports bar for that game, but I was so pissed at Purdue handing Illinois the game by blowing a 5 point lead in the last minute to lose in OT that I left before the Minnesota Game.

I had to watch things on gamecast thanks to Comcast and was wondering what the hell happened the last few seconds of that game. I figured it was a typical ending with the refs taking things out of the hands of the players. That was an understatement before the last shot.

Upon watching the video:
1st rebound --- That was a foul on White to get positioning to get that tying 2. I'm fine with them not calling this foul at this point in the game, so that isn't my complaint. My complaint comes when the Minnesota player grazes him (if even that) to give him the and one. They let the foul on White go, so there is no way the foul should be called on Minnesota if their officiating is consistent. I keep watching the video and I still can't see conclusive evidence that the Minnesota guy even touched White.

2nd rebound --- It was a scramble for a loose ball and looked like a flop on White. I wouldn't have too much of a problem with this call if not for the two questionable calls before it both going for IU.

It would have been fun to see the reaction to all the IU rednecks in the bar after that last shot. I'd be willing to bet that maybe 10% of them actually have a college education. Even high school might be a stretch for a few.

Big Ten games are simply brutal to watch. I know every team is a defensive team in the league, but damn... such boring ball They need to get somme fast breaking coaches in there fast or no recruit is gonna want to play there.

Oh well. Also, the Big 10 is quite a boring conference, though there are a couple semi-fun teams to watch. Oh well, watching St. Joe's and Temple right now. If Temple wins, they are in, and St. Joe's will probably be in too. If St. Joe's wins, they'll probably still get in, but Temple won't.

Also, thoughts on Illinois/Minn in the Big 10? o.o Crappy seeds are crappy.

It was loads of fun. In high school our principal would allow teachers to teach the first have of the period, then allow us to turn on the television the last half of it to watch the ACC tournament. Man I loved school during this time of year, not only was the year coming to an end, but we would also be allowed to watch ACC basketball as well as the NCAA Tourney.

Our middle school did that. Teachers would roll out TVs on carts during lunch and have them on the TVs in class. High school wasn't so cool about it.

Next upset, Pitt over Georgetown. Not as confident as the clemson pick, but definately a good chance.
