They even had things that way in high school for me. There would be 3-4 TVs sitting in the commons during lunch with the games on and about half my classes would have the games on. I think even some of our most strict teachers would let a TV get turned on for the tournament. I remember watching the Bryce Drew 3-pointer 10 years ago live in my Spanish Class. (surprised CBS hasn't started talking about the ten year anniversary of that yet)

I'd say they should start rotating conference tournaments better. I'm tired of seeing Duke/North Carolina never leaving the state for theirs. (has the ACC Tourney ever been outside of North Carolina in the last 20 years?) UCLA gets to play in LA every year. The New York Schools always get to play in the Garden. (even though the 2 NY Metro Teams don't seem to take advantage of it)

    Some rotations they should have:
    SEC:
    New Orleans
    Nashville
    Memphis
    Atlanta
Florida: (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, or Jacksonville)

    ACC:
    North Carolina (Charlotte/Greensboro)
    Washington DC
    Atlanta
Florida: (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, or Jacksonville)

    Big East:
    Boston
    Philly
    New York
    Washington DC

    Big Ten:
    Indy
    Chicago
    Detroit
    Ohio (Columbus/Cleveland/Cincy)
    Minneapolis

    Big XII:
    St. Louis
    Kansas City
    Dallas
    Oklahoma City

ACC tourny is usually held in NC because its in the middle of almost every ACC team. BC just joined a few years ago, and a tourny up there would alienate everyone but 2 teams, and one in florida would only be beneficial for FSU and miami(who also just joined, give it time).

NC tournys are easily within driving distance for one weekend a year for anyone who wants to go for 8/12 teams, why would they go way south or way north and make it so that many people couldn't go. Its the same reason maint is always after the JP go to sleep, sure it shits on NA and EU, but you aren't going to alienate your largest consumer base lol, not sure why you're crying about that,

And just fyi in a year or two its going to atlanta at least, so be happy about that.

    NC State
    Duke
    UNC
    Wake forest

    All in North Carolina

    GA Tech
    Clemson
    VA
    VA Tech

All in bordering states, whats you're complaint about NC, it....makes sense, quit QQing

I don't think the fans play as big of a role as people assume they do, Duke and UNC beat each other at the other teams stadium, which they obviously did not have the fans on their side. NC state and wake still suck in the acc tourny lol.

Next upset, Pitt over Georgetown. Not as confident as the clemson pick, but definately a good chance.
Hey, any chance you can give some lottery numbers?

    Re: NCAA Basketball 2007-2008

I know I am about a day late but I just watched the ending of the UGA Kentucky game and was wondering if anything was said by the announcers and just general feedback from fans.

I thought the final in-bounds pass by Kentucky was cheap. With 1.2 seconds left I know your options are limited but I think it was a cheap shot to try and win the game by drawing a foul away from the ball. The Kentucky player set up 10 feet from the defender and his teammate ran the baseline getting the defender to follow. And of course he ran into the Kentucky player. It wasn't intentional and had no impact on the inbounds play (the Kentucky player didn't even make an attempt to get the inbounds pass) so I was very pleased with the ref's no call. This cheap attempt at a win kind of showed to me the lack of class the coach displayed. It pissed me off and I was just curious to how other fans watched it (some more unbias than me.. go Dawgs!)

First, I hate kentucky with a passion. Still, I thought it was crafty. The homer radio broadcasters went crazy over the no-call. I was out when it went down, so I had to listen to it on the radio. I almost had to turn it off there was so mucg QQing.

Also, holy shit at clemson possibly upsetting UNC.

Yeah, it's a crafty play but still I think its a dirty way to win. Maybe thats just because it would have killed my team. This Clemson team I don't think has been given enough credit. I hope they win but I don't think they can pull it out. They have yet to establish any kind of low post presence (they aren't too strong down there) and I think that will kill them in the end. I think UNC will pull away slightly at the end due to Clemson's lack of an inside outside game. You can only hit three's for so long and UNC will adjust.

Are you talking about no low post presence in the past? They are dominating the low post in this game. A truckload of blocks, and tack on another there lol. They aren't even double teaming hansboro.

Yes they are, hope Carolina can stymie them a bit in the second half and pull away.

I was saying more on offense. From my perspective they are shooting the lights out now from outside. There offense doesn't have many inside looks so far. I hope they can continue to shoot this way but I have a feeling UNC will adjust and be more in their face. They aren't that balanced and if UNC can adjust I think Clemson may have trouble.

On D they are doing very well. The blocks, rebounds, and fast breaking is doing well. Hope they can keep it up.

PS. Anyone else find it funny listening to these old guy announcers promoting rap songs/albums/artists in between commercial breaks? I just imagine them having no clue what they are saying.

Fuck yeah tarheels, #1 in the nation for a reason.

Also, clemson is the one team in the acc that will always give us a run for our money, whether they are #2 seed in the conference or 12, its sorta weird. They played a good game, I will give them that.

I don't like this whole "Illinois has 10 points already" thing - how is Wisconsin supposed to hold them under 40 for the game at this rate?

Also, Wisconsin is burying some long-ass 3's so far.

The Clemson game was close but ended how I thought it would. Clemson just couldn't keep up the spectacular shooting. I bet they do well in the tournament though.

What the hell is with UGA? They play shitty basketball all year long, kick off great players, and know are in the SEC championship running the game? This is nuts. I can't believe they actually are playing this well.

Man, Wisconsin gave up 48 points, that defense needs to tighten up.

    (we'd better get a fucking 2-seed)
