Are you downloading on bittorrent atm? Doesnt make sense for your ping to be that high when you are <50mi. There has to be something on your pc that slow down your connection

I wish it was that fast all the time, gets bogged down a lot, as in can't even load simple pages. When everybody is in class, it's not bad. They really need to make the line connecting campus to off bigger.

My internet is actually through a wireless router I brought from home because there aren't enough broadband jacks in my room. The internet also goes down a lot here.

Well then again, the residence I'm at may have limited bandwidth speeds since it's sharing the same network, which may explain why I can download any file direct from my college's server to my PC here at 2-4 megabytes a second. I'll do a test inclass next Monday for shits and giggles.


Will be nice when the day comes that the net is as fast as your average 100mbps LAN connection and is accessible by joe anonymous without breaking the bank.
