My LS has just started killing KV, we've killed him 4 times now and have had 4 Helms drop.

I remember hearing this helm is 10-15% drop rate... is it just luck or has SE done something wonderfull?

It's luck... we had a pretty good camping run of him a few months back with like 10 helms maybe in like 15ish kills.

I'd say the drop rate is actually like 33%. Definitely higher than 10-15%.

just luck. Based on the actual drop rate if you keep killing him you will even out more at the actual drop percentage.

Think we're like 16/28 on helms/kills, so its probably closer to 50% droprate. Who knows? Maybe they upped the drop rate for my LS. Maybe its actually all just luck.

I think we're 11/12 on our last drops, if not 11/11. We've gone like... at most 4 kills without a drop before. On the other hand I know of a shell that was like 1/14 so... dumb luck.

I remember a friend of mine in LS went 1/12 on Ace's Helm. Seriously, he almost cried everytime it didn't drop, because me and the many of us were 1/1, lol. I think its just very random that you can't stick a theory or formula on it. just cross finger and kill KV.

12/30 on Helm. We went 8 days straight no Helm but also went 4 days straight with it dropping. It is luck. I'd say it is 30%ish drop rate overall.
