Just about equal if you ask me.
How did I contradict myself?
Driver =/= CCC
Thanks for the suggestions guys, appreciate it.
I am such a newb at anything regarding building a desktop. So right before I decide to return my PSU, I found out that it was actually 20+4 pin as I didn't really knew that I could "pop" the extra 4 pin out. Well, either way, it didn't work in the end so I had to return it anyway, lol.
The reason why I chose the 7950GT was because I wasn't really in a hurry to prepare myself for DirectX 10 and I heard that 7950GT was better than 8600. I also chose nVIDIA because I am more familiar with their line of cards.
Again, thanks for the help, but I changed my mind. I am going to buy a laptop instead. While I possess a decent amount of knowledge for desktop building, I have no clue on how to build a laptop. I also understand the fact that building a custom laptop will result in a better laptop than a factory model, but I do not wish to risk breaking any parts in the process of building so I am going to opt for a factory model instead.
Does BG have any good suggestions? Also, if I were to search for one myself, is there anything important I should look out for? What brand should I avoid and which are the reliable ones? Are there certain components that I shouldn't worry too much about? I am more familiar with Intel processors (not laptop processors though) so which type should I look at? Etcetera etcetera.
The main activities I will be using the laptop for are word processing, PhotoShop, watching videos (I am a big fan of fansubbed anime), and FFXI. If I can find a quality laptop that can do all those well then I am content. However, I am fine with not able to play FFXI at top settings. Anything is good.
Once again, I thank BG for the help.
