I'm not sure what the problem is with looking at it from a peaceful angle.

I'm not trying to stop a war... I don't have the influence to do that. All I can do is try to change one person's mind to not support this cycle, and I don't even have a good chance at that.

A point that has been made more times than anyone can count. The easiest method would be if they all suddenly decided that what they were doing was pointless and decided to make peace. But these things never did end in such a way, and they won't now. We're living in the real world, and in the real world people don't just forget years of bloodshed, marginalization, and torment and suddenly decide to be best friends.

Well aren't we overly pessimistic? I personally don't get a chance to get to talk to people like Firas often, or at least not in situations where it's good to bring it up. As a matter of fact, people don't tend to listen to each other. Maybe he'll think about what I say, maybe not, but stop trying to stop me from bringing some goodness into this world or at least understanding what's wrong with it.

First of all, you're not going to introduce anything into anyone's head if they don't see what you're saying to be possible. So in essence, you're wasting you're time as no muslim will listen to that and say: "You know what? I never thought of that before, i think i'm going to go kiss and make up". Second, you don't understand what they're going through, any of them, and before you even mention the fact that you're jewish, you should note that A: You weren't in the holocaust, and B: you don't live in Isreal. So it's easier sead than done for someone who is not personaly involved in any of this.

So you can go ahead and say it, and ignore me if you like. Like i sead, i don't have to attack you, but it doesn't mean i won't. If it burdens your soul so very much to have your ideas/methods criticized then i suggest you turn off the internet.
