God, I hope so. I'm in three Fantasy Football leagues, in the playoffs in all three leagues, and playing Tom Brady in every one of those leagues this weekend.Originally Posted by Viq

I'm not playing Vade, I'm up against Kurp's Unstoppable Force. Drew Brees scored enough points to knock me back to 4th seed.Originally Posted by Tyche
Well, Kurp is starting them, not vade. I just thought you was up against vade. I remember looking at that lineup, seeing those 2 WRs, and smirking. Watch, both johnson and battle will have a two point game.
Yup, he still has the awesome neck-beard.Originally Posted by Mizango
I think he played alright for a rookie, guess we'll get to see if he has matured as a QB. I imagine he'll be starting the last three games of the season, so we'll have to see how he plays overall. I'm not going to judge him based on the Minnesota game, seeing that he hasn't thrown a regular season pass for 2 years and gets absolutely no snaps in practice.
Lovie Smith says that they aren't putting him so they can start preparing for next season, but everyone knows that the Bears aren't going to make it to the playoffs, so imagine they are starting to prepare for next season.
It's going to be interesting though, because I'm pretty sure they planned on having Grossman start for the remainder of the season to see whether or not we should keep him since his contract is expiring, but now that we won't get to see him perform I wonder what they'll end up doing with him.
In other news, Bobby Petrino resigns as Falcons head coach.

el oh el
I broke that story hours ago in another thread! Let's have a contest next NFL thread to see who can guess how many points the pats score against the jets without going over :D
I'll reserve judgment until we get closer to Sunday, because I know how bad the weather could be if the forecasts are correct.Originally Posted by Tyche

The greatest neck-beard in NFL history belongs to Koy Detmer

Petrino makes me fucking sick. Despite my affiliation with UofL, I really supported his decision to go Atlanta and try and better himself by turning around a struggling NFL club. Now, what he's done to atlanta in the worst of times makes me fucking sick. IMO, it makes saben look like a saint. Arthur Blank handed him keys to a franchise and to a QB he vested a huge interst into. As bad as the michael vick situation is, I honestly pity the Atlanta franchise and their fans. I really do hope they some how turn both of these atrocities into something positive.

I hope I don't get another AD failure like last week ><
I agree, but I kind of understand why he resigned. I mean DeAngelo Hall was demanding a trade in September simply because he could not play under Petrino. Other falcon veterans were threatening not to even resign next offseason if he remained head coach.Originally Posted by Tyche

The guy was brought in, he took the job with the expressed purpose of implementing an offense specifically designed to take advantage of Michael Vick's strengths.Originally Posted by Tyche
The whole situation is fucked, might as well start over fresh next season - he's just hopping on the last lifeboat off the titanic. He didn't make it sink.
Can someone take one of those movies in 5 seconds and turn it into the falcons season in 5 seconds.
Show a clip of vick, a dog barking, someone getting assraped in jail and joey harrington getting sacked or something.
No, Petrino was brought in to improve vick's weaknesses (pass first, run second), not to take advantage of his strengths. Petrino had a history of being a great QB coach. UofL was tops in passing offense when he was there. This could be a really good QB draft, and Petrino even had the possibility of being reunited with Brohm, whom I'm sure will be a highly touted QB. I really hope BLank pulls a fucking rabbit out of his hat and snags Cowher or Schottenheimer.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
At least he didn't lie, say he was going to be Atlanta's head coach and then leave like some other coach I'm thinking of. =P
according to PFT Singletary is the front runner for the jobOriginally Posted by Tyche
I actually remember reading that the reason why Petrino was hired was because he could create a playbook that suited for Vick's playstyle. He was supposed to be the offensive mastermind who utilized Vick the same way he was used in college. Sad that everyone playing for him thought he was an idiot though.Originally Posted by Tyche
