So what happened to Adrian Peterson yesterday? 14 rushes for 3 yards? D: Good thing he wasn't on my fantasy team.

It was just one of those days. Peterson had no where to go, and Chester didn't have it much better, with the exception of one pretty awesome run.Originally Posted by Akiyama
Yeah, that run was pretty awesome. They could be dangerous in the playoffs, assuming they make it.
Rumor mill has it that the Giants/Bills game on 12/23 is being flexed from 1pm to 8:15 on Sunday night for another SNF national showcase.
Vince Young is a pathetic excuse for a starting quarterback. He can't lead his team. He can't throw...why is he even starting? Look at his games the last 2 years; the number of good games (250+ yards, 2+ TDs) is floating around 2 - that's not good, or even remotely good.
Vince Young can't throw? What the fuck are you talking about lol. He has one of the quickest releases and biggest arms in the NFL. I'm tired of people talking shit about Young when he's not even finished with his 2nd year. He's still iffy but he's making his progressions. What's he gained from last year besides defenses having a years worth of play tape? Their offense is horrible. He's still got a higher completion percentage than Michael Vick ever did, all with shit for WR's and RB's too. He's fucking winning games. People said the Falcons carried vick and look at them now.
Colts led in the fourth quarter against, dare I say, they greatest dome/warm weather team ever assembled. Take out a couple of games, including the pats, where they were a physical mess with injuries. They may be the most balanced team in the NFL. Very strong defense, very strong running game (I think addai has like 10 100+ total yard games), and a passing game that has exploded the past 3 games. This colts team, if healthy, may be better than any of the previous colts team, we just don't realize it because the pats overshadow them. hell, outside of a few games, they have CRUSHED teams. Let's look at some scores.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11

and some of those games were against prolific defenses. 11-2 with devastating injuries, and both of those games were VERY winnable. Not to take anything from the pats, they did beat the colts in the RCA dome, but to completely dismiss them from beating the pats at foxboro would be absurd. They play like they have the past few weeks, they not only have a chance, but they have a very good chance.
Edit: 2nd year QBs that are, at the moment, better than young.
Jason Campbell
Tavaris Jackson
Jay Cutler
Kellen Clemens.
I think those are all 2nd year QBs. While their teams may not be outstanding, they are certainly having better statistical years than Young. It's been stated, they defense has kept Tennessee in games they had no buisness to be in. I think Fischer is starting to question Young as well, as he's let their backs carry a majority of the workload. It's a lot like a pittsburg offense, but without an incredibly efficient QB.
Agree with everything you said but the Rams were the best dome team ever.
Edit: Hmm, well maybe not all around... I'm trying to recall their defensive players lol.
I like the Colts defense more than I like the Pat's D. The Patriots have Tom Brady and a shitload of playoff luck on their side though. It's a tossup everytime those 2 teams play.
Look at Tarvars' and Kellen's numbers. Theres no way you could say theyre playing better. Young has a higher completion percentage, passer rating, and averages more YPG. Jay Cutler and Jason Campbell also have a WAY better offense to work with. Yet have worse records. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.Originally Posted by Tyche
Look at jackson's last 4 games. Hell, outside of the detroit game, he hasn't had a bad season at all. He's got the best running game in the league behind him, so he isn't goin to throw for a ton of yards, he doesn't have to. Kellen Clemens, he's horrible, I just looked at his stats. For some reason I thought he had played better than that. I feel bad for pennington, that guy loved his team. I wanted to throw up when he got hurt, hobbled off the field to save a time out, and the jets fans cheered. That may be the worst display of fanhood I've ever seen. They deserve a horrible QB. Also, it isn't just the offense that dictates wins. There's 2 sides of the ball, and washington's D isn't anything to gloat about, and last I remember, denver had the worst rushing defense in the league.
jason campbell is in his third year. tarvaris jackson is pretty garbage, a 14 year old in a wheel chair could put up equal numbers if he had those running backs and that o line. before matt leinart broke his collar bone he was playing like shit as well. seems to me all the second year QBs, save Cutler, are nothing special. you could make a case for brodie croyle being the best of the bunch with his monster 73.0 QB rating.
LOL! Wow, you are as stupid as my roommate says. I gave you the benefit of the doubt until I got to talk to you some, but holy shit. Clemens, Campbell, and Jackson are not even close to Young. Jackson has the best O-line and RB in football, and he is still the worst QB in the fucking league. Campbell can't throw or run well. Cutler goes up and down as much as Young, with a MUCH better team. If Vince Young had Brandon Marshall, Javon Walker, and uhhhh (that old ass WR that is a beast) then he would outshine Cutler by a mile.Originally Posted by Tyche
Edit- Didn't even mention that no one is at all afraid of Lenwhale White taking it 70 to the house. DB's and safeties don't have to backoff. In Denver the RB's have big yardage potential through the middle and in the flat.
The Stats don't lie, go look em up.
Vince young QB Rating:
2006: 66.7
2007: 66.9
Touchdowns:
2006: 12
2007: 7
Interceptions:
2006: 13
2007: 16
Not to mention very similar yards, and a huge number of lost fumbles. You want to argue his completion % is up? Whoop-de-fucking do, his completion percentage to the other team is more than double what it was last year. The guy is garbage. And before more people try the "but look at the record," two words: Trent Dilfer
3 lost fumbles is not a huge number. You're also forgetting the 7 rushing TD's he had last season. You're also not mentioning the offense he's playing on. Why you're forgetting to take those things into account is beyond me.
Let me check what I said again..."at the moment" the followong QBs are playing better. Jason campbell, before he got injured, was playing very well, but apparently in his 3rd year, my bad. Tavaris jackson, past 3 games has had a 95+ passer rating. He had a 140 passer rating when AP sat the bench one of the games. So yes, despite your roomate having a gauge of intelligence that is as sure as the night, I absoltuely stand by what I said, although me saying kellen clemens was better was remarkably stupid. I don't have a damn stat book in front of me and I just thought he was playing better. My mistake.
You're right, it's impossible to succeed as a quarterback with shitty offenses. fuck who is that one guy, that won 3 superbowls...Originally Posted by Deejay
I'll give you his 7 rushing TDs last year, but go back and look at those - lucky as fuck. It shows this year, as he only has 3 (Peyton manning has just as many lol). I was looking at the wrong column for lost fumbles, but 19 fumbles in 2 years is a fuckton when you couple it with all his interceptions.

Judge him when his WR core and RB's aren't the absolute worst. I don't want to hear shit about Lendale White's rushing total either. Any backup given his number of carries get the same amount or more.
Wow, you have got to be kidding LOL. The Pats offense in those Superbowls were not even remotely close to as bad as Tenn's offense this year.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11

Pats had Givens and Branch. Those 2 are lightyears better than the above.
Theres a difference between having a shitty offense and having arguably the shittiest offense in the league. The Patriots offense was never that bad. Brady won with Dillon, Branch, Givens, Troy Brown, Ben Watson, etc. They weren't the best, but Tom Brady had support. Vince Young is playing with one of the worst receiving cores in the NFL. Vince Young is handing off the ball to one of the worst starting RB's in the NFL. Vince Young's WR's and RB's wouldn't even be starting on 100% of the other teams in the NFL. With that said, he's still managing a team with a winning record. His 6th ranked defense obviously has a lot to do with it, but if he's not a part of the problem than how is he not part of the solution?Originally Posted by Demosthenes11
Vince young has talent, that can't be taken away. They only thing I question is his decision making abilities. That has nil to do with his support. You make a bad throw, that's on you. Some of the INT's he's made this year wasn't because his WRs didn't make the play, it was just very poorly thrown balls. Living in kentucky, I'm usually watching titans games, as that's what my local network shows. I've just seen very few signs that they guy can lead an NFL franchise, good support or not. If his ability to see the field improves, i'm sure he'll be a good QB. He can make plays, we've seen it on a few occassions.
