I would, but they're all asleep.Originally Posted by Plow
I never said he sucked in college, he was fucking great in college. His single-handed defeat of USC is one of the most impressive single-game performances in college football history. I still frequently refer to that game as the "Vince Young takes the snap and drops back in the pocket - Vince Young throws to Vince Young - OH MY what a block by Vince Young, and Vince Young is in for the TOUCHDOWN!"Originally Posted by Plow

Regardless of what i've said about him having potential to improve...you can absolutely hold him responsible to some degree for losing those games.Originally Posted by Plow
He's the reason for most of their turnovers, meaning more opportunities for the other team to score. He's the reason his team can't control time of possession, meaning the other team has the ball more and of course, has more opportunities to score. When vince young is giving the other team an extra 3-6 drives per game, you can't always hold the defense responsible for spending an extra 20 minutes on the field trying to prevent the other team from scoring an extra few TDs.

Name another place in the league White or Brown could get more than 5 carries a game. Now consider that they're the next best players he's got.
my bad I confused who said what heh, but seriously I just don't think people are looking at the fact that his team is absolutely horrible and the people who compare favorably have some of the best tools in the game...Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
Put Young in Washington with Cooley, Portis, Moss, they score 30+ points a game. Put him in Minnesota with Peterson and watch them run for 350 yards a game, who cares if they even throw a pass lol. Same with Denver, it would be insane to see the horrors Shanahan would create for defenses with that backfield.

Offensive line..sure hold them responsible a little for not giving him a lot of time but even so he's not the only QB in the league that gets rushed, it's his decision making that causes turnovers. Throwing it away for an incomplete pass is better than throwing an Int.
That said, there's a lot of good QB names with a lot of interceptions this year. Romo with 14, carson palmer with 17, peyton with 13. Only difference between young and these other guys is they also score touchdowns
Plow: You do know the Titans have the 4th least amount of drops in the entire league...
and they have the 6th least amount of attempts... and the amount of total drops doesn't reflect all that well on just how often they drop the important one

Does he still have that Jeremiah Johnson/Grizzly Adams beard? I cant wait for Monday night now lol. I hope he plays well, he managed them well as a Rookie.
Local weather reports here in southern NE are calling for a nor'easter Sunday. Maybe the Pats will only be able to score in the 30's against the Jets ;_;
Think beyond your ability for once kid. It doesn't matter if they have the 4th least amount of drops if the Titan's throwing attempts are grossly below almost every other team's attempts in the league lol.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11

Really? I think the cleveland/titans playoff implications are pretty intense, especially since Ten lost to SD this weekend. I'd totally root for cleveland to make the playoffs if I wasn't a buffalo fan. Plus shawne merriman is practically begging the titans to make the playoffs with his most recent comments. Is a rematch possible? I'd watch it!Originally Posted by sb
The vikings raging in the NFC? If any team could make a postseason run it's them with their much improved QB play and outtathisworld rookie RB. Plus you're assuming the giants won't self destruct and leave the 5 seed up for grabs, always a possibility with that team/QB. The top teams in the NFC are genuinely charismatic, I really think a GB vs. Dallas NFC championship would be as exciting as any NE vs. IND game, especially since those teams/players have entirely different approaches to the QB position.
I'm really excited for the playoffs this year! and nothing about the wildcards is set in stone yet (except jacksonville, they're really really good and could play the spoiler for one of the top teams).
You're crazy. One undefeated team, one winless team in week 14? Brady and co. are about to shatter every record. The Pats/Ravens game is going to be on NFL Classic for years. There was the return of Brett Farve. Devin Hester breaking records. Theres a rookie phenom already challenging ladanian tomlinson for the best RB in the league? We lost a future hall of famer (RIP SEAN), a crazy superstar QB scandal, a player even got paralyzed this season. What more do you want? This season has been historical already.Originally Posted by sb
I know what more I want. I want the pats to put up 90 on the jets. Fuck jets fans.
He does have a point though, in that the "who will make the playoffs" drama is pretty low - 3 weeks to go and the division leaders are all but settled in all but 1 division, as well as the first wildcard spot in both conferences. First-round byes and Conference champs are also pretty locked up. The remaining drama is "Browns or Bills/Titans" which may be pretty settled if the Browns can beat the Bills this weekend, and "Vikings or Skins/Lions/Saints/Cards" which remains interesting.
It's sad that Bears fans are excited for a 3rd string starter. Rex wasn't all that bad since he came back though.Originally Posted by Daahan
