I would, but they're all asleep.

I never said he sucked in college, he was fucking great in college. His single-handed defeat of USC is one of the most impressive single-game performances in college football history. I still frequently refer to that game as the "Vince Young takes the snap and drops back in the pocket - Vince Young throws to Vince Young - OH MY what a block by Vince Young, and Vince Young is in for the TOUCHDOWN!"

He's still a mediocre-at-best pro on a team with a good D and a crappy O whose physical gifts are wasted because he just...doesn't...quite...get it.

The whole 191 yards rushing and 2 rushing TDs that VY has over Jay Cutler in 12 games this year constitutes clowning? I'd much rather have a guy that can maintain a 90+ QB rating and not throw over twice as many INTs as TDs. The Titans very good defense keeps the Titans anemic offense (lead by Vince) in games, and Vince either wins or loses them. It's like Rex Grossman last year but with more athleticism and worse decision making.

Give me Jay Cutler over Vince Young in the pros any day. That's all I'm saying.

Cool, have fun with a worse record with a dramatically better team otherwise in a far far far easier schedule.
Do you seriously think VY is winning the games??? LOL
opponent's scores in games they've lost:

    22
    13
    28
    34
    35
    23

You absolutely cannot blame someone with that oline, those recievers, and those rb's for not scoring 3-5 touchtowns a game. You can *possibly* blame 1 of those losses on VY not getting enough done offensively.

Just think about this: the only reason any of those rb can do anything whatsoever is the threat that VY will keep it and take off around the outside. The dude doesn't even have to actually do most of the things he can for the simple threat of it to completely change the game. (hint: when your offense can't run, your defense struggles, no matter how good you are-- see ravens v pats)
Regardless of what i've said about him having potential to improve...you can absolutely hold him responsible to some degree for losing those games.

He's the reason for most of their turnovers, meaning more opportunities for the other team to score. He's the reason his team can't control time of possession, meaning the other team has the ball more and of course, has more opportunities to score. When vince young is giving the other team an extra 3-6 drives per game, you can't always hold the defense responsible for spending an extra 20 minutes on the field trying to prevent the other team from scoring an extra few TDs.

He regularly hits his recievers in the hands on 3rd downs, and they regularly drop them. He can hardly do more than a 3 step drop before the pocket collapses. White is like 350 pounds and can't get a yard if they know he's gonna try. Every freaking play he makes on that offense is an accomplishment. Name another place in the league White or Brown could get more than 5 carries a game. Now consider that they're the next best players he's got.

Put Young in Washington with Cooley, Portis, Moss, they score 30+ points a game. Put him in Minnesota with Peterson and watch them run for 350 yards a game, who cares if they even throw a pass lol. Same with Denver, it would be insane to see the horrors Shanahan would create for defenses with that backfield.

I understand that he has a horrible support on offense. But in addition to his recievers dropping the ball, he also throws it right to the other team a lot. If you could go look at his interceptions, most of them aren't even close to one of his own guys. You can't blame that on his recievers, or running backs. Offensive line..sure hold them responsible a little for not giving him a lot of time but even so he's not the only QB in the league that gets rushed, it's his decision making that causes turnovers. Throwing it away for an incomplete pass is better than throwing an Int.

That said, there's a lot of good QB names with a lot of interceptions this year. Romo with 14, carson palmer with 17, peyton with 13. Only difference between young and these other guys is they also score touchdowns

and they have the 6th least amount of attempts... and the amount of total drops doesn't reflect all that well on just how often they drop the important one

Thank you. Archi has hit it on the head time and time again through out this thread. Every point I was attempting to make he has already made. Perfectly done.

Wow are you serious!? I've been waiting for this all season, well since Rex has been struggling.

    Go Purdue!

Does he still have that Jeremiah Johnson/Grizzly Adams beard? I cant wait for Monday night now lol. I hope he plays well, he managed them well as a Rookie.

    Local weather reports here in southern NE are calling for a nor'easter Sunday. Maybe the Pats will only be able to score in the 30's against the Jets ;_;

Think beyond your ability for once kid. It doesn't matter if they have the 4th least amount of drops if the Titan's throwing attempts are grossly below almost every other team's attempts in the league lol.

In all honesty this is just about one of the most boring NFL seasons to date. Sure some records are being broken, but on the whole there is almost no playoff tension with the exception of the most mediocre of divisions.

Really? I think the cleveland/titans playoff implications are pretty intense, especially since Ten lost to SD this weekend. I'd totally root for cleveland to make the playoffs if I wasn't a buffalo fan. Plus shawne merriman is practically begging the titans to make the playoffs with his most recent comments. Is a rematch possible? I'd watch it!

The vikings raging in the NFC? If any team could make a postseason run it's them with their much improved QB play and outtathisworld rookie RB. Plus you're assuming the giants won't self destruct and leave the 5 seed up for grabs, always a possibility with that team/QB. The top teams in the NFC are genuinely charismatic, I really think a GB vs. Dallas NFC championship would be as exciting as any NE vs. IND game, especially since those teams/players have entirely different approaches to the QB position.

I'm really excited for the playoffs this year! and nothing about the wildcards is set in stone yet (except jacksonville, they're really really good and could play the spoiler for one of the top teams).

You're crazy. One undefeated team, one winless team in week 14? Brady and co. are about to shatter every record. The Pats/Ravens game is going to be on NFL Classic for years. There was the return of Brett Farve. Devin Hester breaking records. Theres a rookie phenom already challenging ladanian tomlinson for the best RB in the league? We lost a future hall of famer (RIP SEAN), a crazy superstar QB scandal, a player even got paralyzed this season. What more do you want? This season has been historical already.

He does have a point though, in that the "who will make the playoffs" drama is pretty low - 3 weeks to go and the division leaders are all but settled in all but 1 division, as well as the first wildcard spot in both conferences. First-round byes and Conference champs are also pretty locked up. The remaining drama is "Browns or Bills/Titans" which may be pretty settled if the Browns can beat the Bills this weekend, and "Vikings or Skins/Lions/Saints/Cards" which remains interesting.

It's sad that Bears fans are excited for a 3rd string starter. Rex wasn't all that bad since he came back though.
