What to merit on PLD?

Yeha capped Enmity hurts, a lot, when I level my WAR.

At level 66 doing 500~900 Rampages (depends on food and mobs) and only having Ichi means I get raped.

I've probably lost at least on 75 LVL worth of EXP leveling up.

WARs can't tank?

Not trying to be a jerk, I promise, it just really bugs me when WARs complain about getting hate and/or not being suited to tank, when myself and lots of other people I know main-tanked on WAR at every level range.

If an XP mob is killing you on WAR enough times to lose 45,000 XP, I'd highly recommend either backing off a bit or finding a healer who isn't asleep.

Shitty pick up PTs, with other LS members I have no problem at all bouncing hate. ToAU has made everyone lazy as far as EXP goes, and by lazy I mean more stupid than normal.

I had 4 enmity merits whilst lvling RDM and BRD and it never effected me too badly.

It bothers me when WAR's claim they tank everything when they actually are worse at taking hits than almost every other melee.

Didn't even notice my 4 Enmity merits while leveling RDM and I spammed Cure IV sometimes without getting hate. My general thought is, if I was gonna pull hate with the +4 Enmity, I was gonna pull hate anyways. +4 Enmity really isn't all the much and really shouldn't hurt you on other jobs. If +4 Enmity is killing you, there is something else wrong with either you, your tank or your support.

The only jobs I could even see +Enmity merits hurting are RDM and WHM and only during longer fights where they have to cure a ton.

I just wear - enmity gear to counter it. I also switch crow gear in for cures then other gear for other stuff.

I've capped PLD merits while I was meriting like crazy on WAR. Besides Chivalry, which has saved my ass a couple of times, I don't see any reason to cap the other tier 2 merits for PLD. I just did Fealty because it seemed somewhat like the second best. I could be terribly wrong...
